Vehicle Detail
Clean 2005 Subaru Legacy. The Good: Never been in an accident. The body has no dents or rust anywhere on it. There are minor dings and scratches consistent with an 11 year old car in NYC but most of it is on the rear bumper where its expected. The interior is all leather that is in excellent condition. The only imperfection is on the driver's seat on the left side which takes a rubbing every time you enter the vehicle. Its the limited edition so it has all leather seats, front seats both dual heat controls and the driver seat is powered. The engine runs great and still delivers good power on the highways . Always starts right up. It never breaks down and shows no sign of doing so any time soon. Transmission shifts smoothly. The tires are less than a year old and have about 5000 miles on them so there's plenty of life left on them. Ice cold AC in the summer. The Bad: This car has high miles at 198,033 but again, it still runs excellent. A check engine light is on for the oxygen sensor. The inspection is expired so you will have to get this fixed for it to pass inspection. I believe its the sensor in the rear cat. The front cat was replaced 2 years ago so that sensor is still new. The other issue is the heater core for the passenger side is clogged with sediment so there's no heat on the passenger side. The driver's side still blows hot though so the car does still warm up. Addendum: In response to questions about the service history; My in-laws are very anal with documenting service on the car. I found the car manual and it has a list of each and every service done to it before they gave it to my wife (whose not anal about documenting service). It had the rear rotors replaced at 157k miles. The front rotors replaced at 138k. The timing belt (and all belts) and water pump done at 106k. Valve cover gaskets done at 163k. New alternator, spark plugs, seals and wires at 163k. Since my wife got it at 163k, the only notable work done to it was a new front cat. As stated in the description, the rear cat is in need of replacement and that should clear the O2 sensor code and get it past inspection and road legal.
