***** BUYER BEWARE – ENGINE IS BLOWN = CRACKED SLEEVES = NEEDS NEW ENGINE!!! ***** ***Pictures were taken the day before the engine blew (couple weeks ago), so they are current and up to date. The rotating assembly is still together and the pistons all move just fine in their bore and may be salvageable/possibly reused. The engine will still build oil pressure when cranked.*** Hello, and thank you for taking the time to look at my tastefully modified vehicle I have up for sale. This is one bad turbocharged 1998 Honda CR-V EX that has ~175,000 miles on the body only. Don’t let that scare you, as just about everything has been replaced outside of the cabin. I have had this vehicle for about 5 years now, and have only put 6 -7k miles on it during that time. Through much deliberation (and a kick in the butt from my wife), I have finally decided now is the time to part with my pride and joy. I just don’t drive it that much anymore… and now the engine blew. The parts/mods list will be long and semi-detailed. I will most likely be forgetting a lot of things, but will try my best to list everything. However, there are a few things that may need some TLC if you want this thing to be perfect. I will provide all the pictures (within reason) I have of this project over the years for the new owner’s records. If I get my full asking price, I will include everything that I have and can find for it. Some of this includes newer OEM struts/springs, stock wheels, spare rear diff, plastic pieces, etc. There are some CONS that should be stated and are as follows: CONS - Sunroof doesn’t work & headliner messed up around it (bought it like this) - Dent on Driver’s C-Pillar - Dings, dents, scratches on body - 3 small rock chips in windshield (out of driver’s view) - Rust bubbles forming in both quarter panels, but in VERY early stages - Runs on E85 ONLY!!! High compression w/ boost = requires highly knock resistant fuel - Currently propeller shaft is removed (needs balanced before reinstallation). This is more for new owner’s safety until they get used to driving this beast. If you don’t know how to preload and slip the clutch on a launch, you WILL blow the driveline apart. This is NOT a beginner’s car. - Not a beginner’s car!!! - Conservative street tune (still is a handful and has power but should by dyno tuned) - I am losing a TON of money… I paid $7k for this thing 5 years ago… plus all the new parts. - ***BLOWN ENGINE*** No compression on #3 & 4 cylinders – however, pistons intact. PROS - Tons of new parts that are installed correctly by a detail oriented & skilled mechanic. - Tune WAS on point, drives extremely smooth, starts right away, etc. - You can’t even buy half of the parts for the selling price, let alone the vehicle to mod. - ALL modified wiring is soldered and heat-shrinked. - Alarm System w/ functioning Remote Start/LCD pager (has kill switches & extra sensors) - Has a tow package to pull trailers around = more versatile vehicle. - EXCELLENT Alignment done, drives very straight and predictable even at high speeds - Adult Owned and Operated - Has some rare CR-V parts: Cargo Cover, Cargo Rubber Mat, Picnic Table, Pass. Arm Rest This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS and without ANY expressed, implied, or written WARRANTY. This is a highly modified vehicle, and if you decide to purchase it, you are waiving any and all liability of the previous owner (ME). Due to the nature of modified vehicles, I can’t and won’t be held responsible for any failures after it leaves my possession. Purchase at your OWN risk.
