Hello and welcome to my auction you are bidding on a totally restored 1981 VW Rabbit pickup truck, I bought this a couple of years ago as a package deal of two trucks off which I sold one a year or so ago here on ebay , the truck was parked in a barn in Nevada for over ten years or so and the extreme desert heat had taken its toll the body was in very good condition after I towed it home I towed it home and tore it apart to bare shell the motor was torn apart and sent to a machine shop and bored out to 1st oversize and brand new KOLBEN SCHMIDT piston and rings were installed along with rebushed rod bearings, rebuilt German Head with new valves and guides, all new FEBI seals, New Febi oil pump ,New water pump, New German Rod Bearings and Main Bearings, New German Timing belt and tensioner, New Sacs pressure plate and clutch, New Intermediate bushings were pressed in, Rebuilt rack and pinion, New struts , New Brakes including new Rotors/brake pads and rear brake shoes along with new brake lines, New Radiator, New Radiator fan......Too much to list, the interior was torn apart and new carpet redone seats and Dynamat under the carpet the roof and behind the seats was put in so its very quite in the cab , all new shifter bushings and shifter rods were installed so the shifting thru all five gears is a breeze , the AC compressor has been tested and clicks on fine , new AC line seals and new Drier was also installed, All new coolant hoses, New coolant reservoir If I have missed any thing I will add later on..... THE LICENSE PLATE ON THE TRUCK DOSENT COME WITH THE TRUCK.On Jan-25-16 at 11:36:40 PST, seller added the following information: Hello Again just wanted to add a few more things......The mileage should read 87000 and not 87...and that is the actual mileage on the truck, and also wanted to add the truck has all 4 brand new tires and the spare is pretty decent too, the battery cables are new, the front wheel bearings along with the rear wheel bearings are new, all new motor and transmission mounts, new upper and lower tie rod ends, rebuilt starter, the injector pump has also been resealed with new viton seals, new wiper blades, New front and rear windshield rubber gasket......the truck also had the front wheels aligned after the truck was put back together, also the truck was repainted in the original color LE1B (SONNENGELB) by me, over all the body is pretty straight other than a few minor dings, the truck bed is almost flawless other than very minor dings very surprising, I had the bed liner materiel sprayed on it, the brake master cylinder was rebuilt along with the brake vacuum pump so now the truck stops on a dime if I have forgotten anything I might add on later when I remember but the bottom line is this truck needs nothing at all its the next best thing to a brand new truck....On Jan-27-16 at 12:20:18 PST, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add a few more things done to the truck........Before installing the Engine and tranny I replaced the seals on the transmission New Input shaft seals both of them, New Flange seals, Repacked and New Inner/Outer boots were installed on the Drive shafts, Rebuilt Front Brake Calipers, New Bearing was installed on the Steering Colume.......The Truck also has very Desirable European HELLA H4 headlights.........
