Solid 68 original Rally Sport. Correct with mono leafs, backup lights in rear valance and Hideaway headlights make this car unique. Nice solid bones with all kinds of potential for whatever your heart desires. One surface rust spot over rear wheel on drivers side. Otherwise rust free. Floor pans and trunk are original and solid-no rust. Body is straight with no major dents or dings at all. Do not believe there to to be any amount of body filler. Paint and custom velour interior is probably 20 years old and was done before my ownership. Paint shows wear with numerous chips and scuffs. Was repainted original color. Has been stored inside for last 18 years. Engine was rebuilt prior to our aquisition as well and has always run very well. Runs 60+ pounds of oil pressure. Carter AFB four barrel carb (650 cfm). Mild cam gives her a nice lope at idle. Headers, and dual exhaust have nice tone. Sounds very healthy! I replaced clutch with a Centerforce, sand blasted and painted subframe, springs, replaced subframe bushings in 2005. Would be surprised if care has been driven 2000 miles since then. Always intended to continue with a full restore but with 4 kids and a flourishing business have finally given up on having the time and resources to complete my dream. Purchase will include a pair of camel back heads correct for year, casting 461 and the original 3 speed manual transmission. This is a 48 year old classic with normal imperfections. Not a fully restored or perfect automobile. Largest con at this point is brake system needs some attention. Brakes grab, pretty sure seals in front left cylinder are out. Brakes still stop the car but not correct. Figured I would convert to disc brakes in restore and have not been driven but from storage to storage over last few years is why this has not been tended too already. Needs a new headliner as a couple of holes. Still tight just some damage above driver visor. All trim and chrome are present and no missing parts. Checked once and believe block to match car vin. Glass is good, ,doors tight. Interior and dash, console is complete as well. No power steer or brakes. Selling as a solid foundation for full restore. Not that you couldn't spend a little time and money and have a nice driver. Cutlass in pics is also for sale. See other items.
