1965 Honda CB

For sale is a really cool old Honda CB450 Black Bomber. I believe it is a 1965, but please do your own research to verify the year based off of the vin (Frame: CB450-1007525 Engine: CB450E-1005746. These numbers are considered "Matching" for a Honda of the 60's). I have owned it for about ten years, and it has been a joy, even though I rode it very little. It appears to be mostly original, with some repaint done at some stage of it's life (most likely the silver and tank, rest of chassis appears original to me). This bike looks really nice, but is not a show bike....I'd consider it a great rider. It would take very little to make this bike show worthy, but in it's current state there are nicks, scratches, some pitting in the chrome, a couple rust spots, and other wear you would expect from a bike that is 50 years old. I have replaced the seat cover and plastic emblems while owning the bike. The bike was last registered in 2011, then I "non-oped" it. There are no back fees to be paid, and the California title is in my name. Since 2011 the bike has sat around. I just replaced the battery and cleaned the carbs out and it fired up and runs cleanly. It could use a tune up, and the idle needs to be adjusted (it is high, you'll see in the video below). The only problem I could find on the bike is the fact that the starter motor spins, but isn't engaging the motor. I tried a few times, and every once in a while it would catch. There's a spring in there that engages the starter clutch I believe, shouldn't be a hard thing to fix. This is an old motorcycle, so please be aware that it will need fiddling now and in the future to keep it up and running....if you have ever owned a vintage car or motorcycle, you know what i mean! Cheap part, but it'll be sold as is since I can't get a replacement before the auction is closed. Tach and tach drive works....cable is no good. Thanks!
