Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1969 Dodge Coronet 440. This car has it's #s matching 318 and automatic transmission and it runs great and shifts fine. It is F3 green with a green interior and green vinyl roof. The fender tag is present and so is a very nice build sheet. You just don't see them like this anymore. I used to hate green, but now it just looks so different and cool in a sea of oranges and blues. Most have been cloned to Super Bees, or hot rodded in some way. Not this one. It was so unmolested, that I decided not to touch it my own self. Just look at the oil change sticker in the door jamb. It is dated September of '69. The car was repainted in the early 80s, but the jambs still have the original paint (with a bit of overspray). The original green roof is in very nice condition. The interior of this car is outstanding. Everything inside is beautiful, from the dash pad and instrument cluster, to the headliner, seats, seat belts, and carpeting. The build sheet was removed and is in great condition. The only thing that doesn't work is the radio. As for the body, there is some rust behind the rear wheels and some in front of the rear wheels. The wheel lips seem nice. The paint on this car is nice and shiny. You can still see the crisp accent line down the middle of the 1/4 panels, something that is usually sanded away, or not well defined with reproduction 1/4 panels. There is a tiny spot on the corner of the door also. The car just really blows you away, the more you look at it. It is in good shape under the hood and the fender tag is present. This car has power steering and manual brakes. 85% of the brake system is new including drums, shoes and hardware. Underneath the car is in good shape also, but there is some scale. I've included pics, and if you need more, just ask. The trunk floor has some matting in the driver side corner, but the rest seems pretty nice , including the center which is always rusted away (I have include pics as well). Finally, this car is quiet and seems to drive nice. You would never know that there is 117,000 on it sitting behind the wheel. Even the little turn signal indicators on top the fenders still light up when you put on a blinker. The lights all work nice (license plate and all) and so do the gauges. The heater core just started leaking so it is currently bypassed. This car has so much potential, that it's scary. You could cruise it as is, or do a little body work and paint the lowers below the chrome strip ( I do have a quart of the original paint left over from when it was painted and it is still good). Or better yet, drop in a 500" stroker, add a dana out back with some drag radials with a white wall painted on them, and go and pick some races. Do yourself a favor and start your winter project with a nice car, so it will actually be ready to hit the streets in the spring. This car has a clear ohio title. I want a deposit of $150.00 within 48 hours of the auctions end. As for the rest of the payment,I will allow 7 days. I prefer cash, but will accept a money wire that will need to clear for 1 business day. If you insist on paying with a cashier's check, it will need to clear for 10 business days before I will release the car. The buyer is responsible for all shipping. I will give you a couple weeks to arrange it. I have no desire to ship this car overseas, but I will gladly help get it loaded with a shipper for you. If it makes any difference, I live in a safe, populated area just a few miles off the last exit on the ohio turnpike. By the way, if you have a feedback of less than 20, please contact me before you bid
