mattterri store Present your best items with Auctiva's FREE Scrolling Gallery. This is a 1978 Honda GL1000 Goldwing, custom Cafe Racer / Street Tracker styled bike. A lot of work has gone into the transformation of this bike. We were aiming for a cafe / brat styled bike with a little "ratness" to it, without going overboard. It has a new Street Tracker style seat & fairing from Hotwing Glass. Mini-chrome turn signals all the way around to keep the bike legal, but still looking great. The exhaust system was customized with a set of mufflers from a Yamaha Seca...they had the perfect upsweep angle we were looking for. A nice set of black clubman style handlebars were installed. Front fender was tossed. Front forks have been lowered in the tree's for a more aggressive stance. And to top off the look we were going for, we installed a brand new set of Shinko Dual-Sport tires. I think it turned out great, and its a blast to ride...always draws attention. The bike runs and rides good. All gauges are working properly, including the 3 "tank" gauges. It has a fresh oil & filter change, and a new battery. There is a small oil leak from the right side valve cover, which occasionally drips onto the pipe when sitting on the kickstand. Buy it, ride it, customize it a little more maybe and make it your own. These early naked Goldwings are great bikes, and have really started to become popular the last few years.
