You're bidding on a '77 Can Am. It is a complete car, but needs rust repair, paintwork, seats recovered & probably an engine rebuild. It needs a complete restoration. It has the red interior with buckets and console with automatic on the floor. The engine is not original but is a very rare 400 W72 from a four speed '79 Trans Am with a PWH code. In 1979, only four speed W72s were available, all were coded PWH. We have not tried to start the engine so its condition is unknown. All the glass is good. The dash pad is severely cracked. There is rust on every panel. Needs patches in the floor pan, lower rear quarters & has surface rust (some heavy) all over. The front edge of the hood has rust pin holes. The inner structure of the trunk lid has serious rust thru. Oddly enough, the trunk floor does not appear to have any holes, just heavy surface rust. The right spoiler end has a piece cracked off. The car will come with 4 rally 2 wheels with roller tires that might hold air for a while. There is a clear Illinois title in the previous owner's name that has been signed by the previous owner - I never got it transferred. Low reserve. Depending on the winning bidder's location, delivery might be available for an additional fee.
