1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet **NO RESERVE** 43k MILES only 1.8 liter engine 30-36mpg Body is solid. Minor rust spots by the windshield. Other than that, body is rust free.. No engine leaks, transmission issues, etc... I drove it from Long Island, NY to Union, NJ (about 65 miles) with no problems when I bought it about a year ago. I kept it in my garage since then. Tried starting it last week and would spark up but wouldn't stay. I got a couple mechanics to take a look so that I get different opinions on it and they both came to the same conclusion - Old gas in the tank. One of the mechanics told me to siphon the gas out and change the fuel filter and it will be running as it should. It could also use a new top.
