I have owned this truck since 1980. I replaced the engine with a 1963 289 ci Studebaker V-8 with the full flow oil filter. The engine was rebuilt in 1987 with new cast iron rings, bearings, valve job, etc. The machine shop said there was very little crankshaft or cylinder wear so the crank was not turned and it was not bored. The transmission is a 3 speed with overdrive that was rebuilt in 1985. The truck did not have overdrive originally, it was added later but the last time it was used it worked. The brake were rebuilt in 1981 but THEY DO NOT WORK NOW. It is a California truck but it does have rust areas (some with rust through), but it is a solid truck. The rear fenders each have tears about 2 or 3 inches long. The truck has not been licensed since about 1997 but it starts and runs well and I have the California Title. The tires are in fair to poor condition but they do hold air. THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK SO THE CAR WILL HAVE TO BE TRAILERED FROM MY PROPERTY ON A ONE CAR TRAILER. I will help load the vehicle on the trailer. THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS. If the deposit is not made within 72 hours I reserve the right to cancel the winning bidder.
