THE OVERVIEW Offered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1988 Lincoln Town Car Six-Door Limousine by Armbruster Stageway! Finished in medium grey metallic over blue velour, this near-30 year-old limousine was used as a personal vehicle driven just under 79,000 miles since new. Yes the odometer still works and it is documented via Carfax. This cool ride sports a great running 5.0 liter V8 engine mated to the 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission, electric leather velour seating with facing seats rear. THE BODY AND TRIM The exterior of this 1988 Lincoln limo is in presentable condition overall with a nice shine to the paint and chrome trim. There is a bit of corrosion on the passenger side rear quarter under the molding. Other imperfections include expected paint nicks,light scratches and other cosmetic blemishes. THE INTERIOR As I hope is articulated here in photos, the interior of this non-smoker 1988 Lincoln is in generally excellent condition overall with nice original carpeting and mats, very good upholstery, un-cracked dash board, beautiful door panels and all gauges and controls in excellent working order. Imperfections inside the car include a fabric cover on the drivers door panel arm rest and some light wear on interior surfaces. Overall this interior is in very clean comfortable condition. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1988 Town Car starts easily and runs very well with decent acceleration, smooth shifting transmission, supple and smooth suspension, good braking, tracking and steering feel and quiet exhaust. It is actually surprisingly nimble. NOTE: The transmission is only functioning in the two lower gears which I hear is a common problem on this model year.
