Vehicle Detail
Vintage 1982 Mercedes Benz Diesel 300DT for sale by owner of vehicle for the the last 8 years. I've babied this fabulous car by keeping up on oil changes and repairs and have reinvested back in the car upwards of $10,000. I have kept records of all maintenance/repairs and of most oil changes since I bought it. I have never had any major mechanical issues with this car -- it's been functional and reliable since the day I got it, and is still humming along with no foreseeable end in sight! The car is a looker! Both the exterior and interior is in great shape, as you will see in the photos. It was very well cared for - I didn't smoke or transport pets in it, and only used it as a daily driver to and from work. The back seat was almost never used. I replaced the upholstery on the driver's seat, and it matches the rest of the upholstery perfectly. The exterior looks fantastic -- no significant dings or flaws, as you will see from the photos. The odometer reads 224,274. A couple things to note: -There is a small area on the front floor board carpet in the front passenger's side that was affected by a water leak. I've included photos for full disclosure. Overall the interior is in really good condition (as you will see from the many photos) but the carpeting in the front driver's and passenger's side has been affected by general wear & tear.-The vehicle has a Salvage title. I had a fender bender (I gently grazed a parking column in an underground parking lot), and due to the age/book value of the car, it was cheaper for me to declare it Salvage for insurance purposes/reconciliation. The vehicle shows NO signs of the accident -- it was fully restored to its original beauty. I have paperwork from the insurance company that details and supports the statements above.I am happy to answer any questions about the vehicle and can provide records/paperwork upon request. Based on a NADA Guides Price Report on 12/13/15, the average retail value for this car is $8,800. A photo of the NADA Guide Price Report is included. I've had 8 wonderful years with this vehicle and I'm hoping someone who appreciates classic cars will enjoy it for its next 200,000 plus miles, as well.
