Vehicle Detail
The Bad- This truck is 11 years old. There are some things that come with that. One of the cup holders is missing in the rear of the cabin. I ordered one on eBay and it will be in the truck for whomever buys it. The rear seat has a spot of leather that is missing. This was not disclosed to me when I bought it but I will pass on everything I know of that is wrong with the truck. I didn't even notice the missing leather because you can't see it as it is not in plain sight. The satellite radio needs to be activated. When I first bought the truck it had a six month subscription of XM radio still going. Once it expired I never called to activate it again. The antennas on these trucks are not very good. I would recommend getting the XM radio activated. The Good- I love this truck. If you have ever had one you know why. If you have ever talked to somebody that has owned an Avalanche you know why. These trucks ride as smooth as an SUV but have more capability than a normal bed truck. The mid gate folds down and you easily get 4 more feet of bed length. I have hauled 4- 6"x6"x20footers in this bed and for another full-size bed truck that would not have been possible. It looks awesome. The paint on the truck is a great color and still in good condition. The interior of this truck is comfortable and has every power option available to vehicles in 2004. The "Saddle Bags" on this truck and the bed covers that lock in place give this truck ALOT of storage space. I have not had one single problem mechanically with this truck in the short time I have owned it. These are very long lasting engines that can pull a lot of weight. I have done very few things to this trucks. When I first got it the truck was idling a little rough. I got a tune up done put the right plugs in and upgraded to 8.0mm MSD wires. The truck runs smoother than my wife's MDX. I had been planning on towing a tractor and a camper so I changed the brake lines to stainless steel braided lines and changed the fluid and pads. The battery is also new. This is a rare truck not too many 2500 Avalanches around that have under 140,000 miles and that rides this smooth with no mechanical issues. Why Am I Selling the Truck- I originally bought this truck one year ago. I bought it to tow a camper that we would live in while we are building a new house on our property. Come to find out there is only ONE rule in the HOA rule book. And it prohibits us from living in any temporary housing unit on our property. So that idea can't happen. I also bought it to tow a tractor around town between my property and the in-laws house. The in-laws ended up buying a piece of land 4 miles down the road. So the only two reasons I had to buy this truck are no longer valid reasons. Seeing as how I already have 2 other trucks myself, not including my wife's vehicle, this truck is has to go. By far it is the most enjoyable and sharpest looking truck I have owned. I hate to see it go but my other two vehicles have roles in the family so I can not get rid of those. If you want specific pictures of anything let me know. The exact mileage is 138390 miles.
