UPDATE- as of sunday November 29th-- I put in a new transmission filter and new dexron 3 fluid. I drove the truck and it drives pretty decent however i still feel the occaisional slip or bump when im driving it. I drove it around for about 15 minutes. The old filter looked awful. I'd say there is a definite improvement since changing the fluid and filter but its not perfect. I think it still needs some transmission attention. How much i don't know. Just wanted to update anyone who was interested. THIS IS MY BROTHER'S 2002 ISUZU TROOPER. AWESOME TRUCK BUT IT NEEDS TRANSMISSION WORK. THIS TRUCK HAD A NEW TRANS AND TRANSFER CASE PUT IN IT 2 YEARS AGO BUT THE TRANS IS STARTING TO SLIP AGAIN AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO FIX IT AGAIN- WE ARE BUYING A NEW CAR. THIS TRUCK IS REALLY NICE AND SOLID. NO RUST UNDER IT. ENGINE RUNS PERFECT AND ALWAYS STARTS. 3.5 LITRE MOTOR LEATHER INTERIOR IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH SWAPPING OR REBUILDING A TRANS THEN THIS IS A GREAT TRUCK. TROOPERS ARE AWESOME TRUCKS. TRUCK IS CLEAN AND NEVER HAD ANY ANIMALS OR SMOKERS IN IT. SO IF YOU ARE A MECHANIC I'M SURE YOU CAN YANK THE TRANS AND REBUILD IT AND THROW IT BACK IN AND DRIVE THIS TRUCK FOR YEARS.
