68 Firebird for restoration or for parts. The car was abandoned by the wife of a guy who was in the process of restoring the car. She sent the car to a metal recycling center. I was fortunate enough to save the car from being crushed. However, some parts that were removed by the previous owner for restoration were never recovered and I have no idea where they are. I decided to restore the car and was able to find some of the parts that were missing. Mainly, the doors. There are NO front seats. What you see in the pictures is all I have for the car. If you're unsure about what comes with the car, please email me! The car is really not all that bad and with just about every part available, the car can and should be restored. It was originally a 350, 2-speed auto car so nothing really rare. The engine in it now is not the original. Its a 1970 400 YS GTO engine with #96 heads but the engine is seized and most likely not usable. The heads look okay.The 2 bbl intake and carb are just setting in the engine and I think they are original. Also, I have the air cleaner but not shown. The transmission and rear are original. The good and bad about the car... -Car was sectioned a long time ago. the right rear quarter area and part of the trunk floor, tail panel and right frame rail are from another Firebird and VERY poorly installed. It will need a right quarter and trunk floor, about 2 feet of frame rail and tail panel to do the car right. This is the worst part of the car. -there is some rust holes on the right rear shock tower. looks like its only on the outer sheet metal part, not the heavy steel support. The left side looks fine. -The car was red with a white painted roof and white standard interior. -rust around back window opening. Mainly on the sides and top. -front seats missing -someone hacked the console. cut the area around the shifter bezel -engine is NOT original and is SEIZED. Car DOES NOT RUN. right rear leaf spring is BROKEN. Have a piece of wood supporting it. -Floors arent that bad. the right rear floor is the worst -The area under the rear seat is excellent except for one 3" hole that was cut in it for some reason. -The sub frame looks real good -rockers, cowl side area, spring perches all rust free. There are dents in left rocker though. Not hard to fix it looks -Doors are not original, but in decent shape -the base of windsheild looks pretty good. -firewall is nice. not hacked up -under the dash looks good. wiring is nice. not cut up. dashboard is decent. radio hole not cut up. dash pad cracked. roof looks pretty good. -left quarter bad. rusty -fenders both decent. right side not original, but pretty good shape -radiator support rust free but bent. -front bumper is in good shape, not bent up. rear bumper is bent up -steering column looks good -back seat decent. seat frames not rusted. -shifter and shifter bezel are nice. Finally....car rolls and steers easily. NO brakes! Parking brake NOT working. CLEAR TITLE in my name !! NO RESERVE! Buyer pays shipping expenses. I can help loading
