Buyer needs to assess this vehicle to determine the exact specifications. I have done my best looking over title and owners manuals etc. to determine whether this is the precise base model, or if some additional upgrades exist, however, as best I can determine, this is the base model 2001 Toyota Tacoma. 2001 Toyota Tacoma Base Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 2.4L. This pickup is in good condition, has some repairable cosmetic defects and is free of majormechanical problems. Odometer reading is at approximately 166580+. Vehicle includes a snug top for the pickup bed. I am uncertain whether the vehicle is 4WD, AWD or what the deal is. New battery included. The vehicle is currently registered non-operational to save costs, and is uninsured. Buyer would assume all responsibility for the vehicle and liability once vehicle and title are transferred subsequent to sale. Kelly Blue Book listing for this vehicle in good condition is approximately $2500. Any are welcome to take a look at the vehicle at any time. A deposit will secure the option to buy for a period we negotiate, hopefully within one week. I would not expect a buyer to pay for the vehicle without the option to take a look first, and I would refund any deposit if the buyer decided they were not interested subsequently. A smog check is due, I can foresee no problem with passing the smog certification, and I will facilitate the smog check for the buyer at my own expense once I have a firm offer, prior to completing the sale and transfer, unless the buyer instructs otherwise. If for some reason the vehicle does not pass smog, I will leave it up to the buyer whether they would like to complete the sale and take responsibility for getting the vehicle up to standard (though I would not reduce the sale price on this contingency), or I can refund any deposit and discontinue the sale, at the buyers discretion. I hand washed the vehicle before listing and did not get it detailed or professionally cleaned. The driver's side foot mat has a wear hole on the surface, however, the floor board carpet underneath is in good condition. On Nov-21-15 at 14:13:16 PST, seller added the following information: This may be a 2WD base model, and not 4WD. I am working on finding the exact specifications, which I have not found indicated as of yet. I have posted pictures of the front and rear axles of the vehicle. The VIN number researched online does indicate a base model, rear wheel drive. On Nov-21-15 at 18:55:01 PST, seller added the following information: At this point I am 90% sure this is the base 2001 Toyota Tacoma, regular cab, 2 wheel drive / rear wheel drive, model, and not a 4 wheel drive model. Prior to listing on ebay, I originally looked up the 2WD model online, which is estimated by Kelley Blue Book at $2,515 in good condition. All the listing specs posted above are accurate, to the best of my knowledge, except the 4WD aspect. If there is any issues with a bid based on this listing error, I will not reduce the final sale price based on this issue, so please keep in mind when bidding that this is probably a 2WD model.
