I bought this car from a friend 5 years ago just before winter. He drove it for nearly 20 years. I put the car into storage and unfortunately there it sat (in storage) until last summer when I had to move it. As much as I would love to keep this car as a future toy, regretfully I simply can not make the time to play with it. After sitting in storage for 5 years I put a new battery in the car and it started right up. Although the car has 215,000 miles on it the engine does not use oil. The car needs a lot of TLC to bring her back to her days of glory. The convertible top (framework) all the brackets, hinges, and windshield latches work and are in good shape but the top should be replaced. The back window has cracks in it and there are some leaks in the top as well. There are minor dings, dents and scratches that go along with a car with this much experience. The car has been kept indoors during the winter months with the exception of a stint in Florida. I have a reasonable reserve on the car based on ebay sales of other Miata's of this caliber.
