1955 Chevrolet 3100 First Series Pickup Truck up for sale. This model was only available for three months in 1955 and then changed over to the current style flat hood. Very Popular five window model. The truck is a short-bed 1/2 ton, with a plank wood bed. This has been a project but the economy and other matter forces sale., so my loss is your gain! This is meant to be a driver, a nice truck but not a show vehicle. The Original Engine has been replaced with a- Chevy 350 V8. with a 350 automatic transmission with lokar shifter and 10 bolt GM rear (do not know gearing). Body and bed were taken off frame for painting prior to my purchase and are solid. All steel truck, no plastic at all. New gas tank.Truck has a new 15 circuit wiring harness: head lights, tail lights and brake lights all working, and ignition. The complete harness is under the dash for completion if you want to add air or radio or other accessories..Truck front end appears to be from a Chevelle, see pictures, independant front suspension....disc brakes on front, drums on the rear. Power steering and power brakes. New electric fan on radiator...runs cool.Cragar mags (old school) with white walls look really good. Car is located in Ft.
