This auction is for a very rare Corvette. It's a 350 L82 High performance V8 with the M21 four speed option. Out of nearly 50,000 Corvettes produced in 77, only 2,060 were produced with a four speed. Only a few thousand were also produced with the L82 V8. This Corvette also has a number of desirable options-AC, Alloy wheels, leather interior, power windows,tilt wheel,etc. It is also and rare and striking color combo of Classic White over red leather interior. Considering the L82, 4 speed,options and color combo, I'd guess only a few hundred Corvettes were built like this car in 77. I purchased this Corvette from the original owner. It has never been wrecked or damaged in any way and still has all or its original body panels. The panel openings are as good as they get on a Corvette and everything fits together very well. The car has been repainted once in it's original Classic white and looks great! The original red leather interior is intact and shows very well. Also significant is that this Corvette remains very original. Many 77 Corvettes have been modified, crashed and abused-very few remain in original spec. This Corvette also feature full functionality. The wipers, lights and gauges all work. Every interior light has been checked(and bulbs replaced as necessary), all buzzers, flashers,warning lights,lights,senders,etc work as they should. Even the clock and original factory radio work. This Corvette still has it's original GM glass. Of course, the factory spare,jack and handle are all in place. When I purchased the car, it had been stored(inside) for a number of years and hadn't seen regular road use for some time. I rebuilt the brakes, flushed the fluids, replaced the engine oil, trans oil, serviced the differential(with proper positraction additive) and replaced the plugs, filters and wires. A new, leather , factory style steering wheel was also installed(original included). The Corvette starts right up, idles smoothly and drives well. The tires are new Uniroyal Tigerpaws on the original factory alloys. All of the car's weatherstripping has been replaced as has all of the carpet(with the correct factory style red). All of the storage doors work properly as do all of the locks, handles,etc. Even the factory alarm is present and functional. In short, this is a great way to enter the Corvette world with a rare, original car that won't cost as much as come of the earlier model C3's. Is this Corvette perfect? No. It needs the AC system recharged at the least. All of the components are present, the fans,vents,heater,etc all work but the AC doesn't blow cold. Perhaps it just needs a Freon fill-unknown. The factory leather seats, while presentable, do have a few flaws. I have not driven this Corvette very much, so further sorting may be needed when it returns to regular use. This car was also converted some time ago to a true dual exhaust system. Not a problem for most, but California buyers that require a smog check will need to reinstall a Y-pipe and single cat. That's about it. I have a clear California title in my name. Don't miss this chance to pick up a nice, unmolested, very rare Corvette at a reasonable price. Offered "As is" with no warranty.
