We are an independent dealership in East Texas and we recently took this gorgeous truck in on trade. In addition to our regular inventory that consists of mostly trucks and SUVs, we have always specialized in classic, collectible, and special interest vehicles since 2011. This F-350 was running but inoperable when we received it as the head gaskets were blown; a typical issue with the 6.0L PowerStroke. Historically in a situation like this, we would wholesale the truck to another dealer, but aside from the engine issue at the time, the body and interior of the truck were too clean and low mileage, so we decided to take it on as a project. There was obviously a reason the head gaskets were blown, so while we were in the engine, we decided to BULLETPROOF the motor and make upgrades along the way. We spared NO EXPENSE getting the engine back up and running stronger and better than new, correcting the issues that have long since plagued this generation of Ford/Navistar diesels. If the diesel specialist made a suggestion or recommendation, we gave him the green light. After spending almost $11,000 making sure everything was DONE RIGHT, here is a list from our recent trip to the diesel specialist: Head stud upgrade EGR bypass New head gaskets New batteries x2 New upgraded injectors New glow plugs New glow plug harness New alternator New radiator Air conditioner service Programmer (previously installed) Cold air intake (previously installed) Upgraded custom exhaust (previously installed) After the upgrades and being fully serviced, the truck is amazing! CarFax reports zero damage and no accidents. No instrumentation warning lights are illuminated and we have driven it a few hundred miles on the highway and around town since returning from the shop. The mechanic states that the engine internals were very clean and noted that with the low mileage, this one has a lot of life left. The truck cranks up with ease thanks in part to the two brand new batteries and new alternator. It idles smoothly and purrrrs like a kitten. On the road it runs very strong as one would expect with plenty of power. Take to the highway and set the cruise at 80mph with no problems or issues. The transmission shifts smooth and solid. Braking is predictable with solid pedal feel and feedback. The air conditioning was just serviced and blows powerful and ice cold. All lights inside and out illuminate as they should and the truck just passed a Texas safety inspection. We have sold 6.0L PowerStrokes with 300,000 miles that were not bulletproofed and never had an issue. Some are good; some are bad, but bulletproofing makes all the difference. In addition to the engine work, extensive modifications have been made to the suspension. The configuration of this truck in stock formation alone adds to the desirability as it is a one-ton F-350 single-rear-wheel short bed crew cab Lariat. We purchased the truck which already had the lift. The front is 12" of lift and has been stretched forward a few inches and converted by way of replacing the coils with heavy duty Ford leaf springs. The rear is lifted 10". It is riding on high dollar 20" Fuel Wheels and 38X13.50R20 Nitto Mud Grappler tires. There is probably 10% tread left on the tires but the truck has passed a Texas state inspection. The front wheels do not rub at full steering lock. Please note that while we are told the four wheel drive is operable, we have not tested it and the front drive shaft has been removed. The OEM front drive shaft is too short to reach from the transfer case to the axle. Either an extension will need to be welded on to one sourced from the purchaser, or a custom fabricated one from Tom Wood's Custom Driveshafts or similar company can be made to the exact specifications. We would have done that ourselves but waiting on the drive shaft fabrication would have pushed back our eBay auction so we are selling as-is. The body of this truck is very straight and in above average condition for a vehicle of this age and mileage. There are a few small dings here and there. The most notable is the passenger side front bumper which has a small dent in it. Also, the lower rocker panels and inner fenders have a fair amount of rock chips due to the large, oversized tires kicking up small pieces of road rocks, etc. I have made an attempt to photograph a sample of these flaws for further inspection. Additionally, no bed liner has been installed in this truck and the bed of the truck does have a fair amount of heavy scratches. This can easily be remedied by simply adding a spray-in type bed liner. The driver's blind spot mirror is also cracked as seen in the photos. All rubber around the windows and door seals are in very good condition. The front window does have a star in the glass but it is not cracked. All other windows are in very good condition and the power windows operate normally. We honestly feel that the condition of the body and drivetrain are above average, but please expect typical scratches and dings and anticipate any future maintenance and repair issues that would be consistent with a vehicle of this age and mileage. The interior is well above average compared to competitive vehicles of this age and mileage. It is smoke free with no odors. The instrument cluster is clear of any warning lights and the gauges are clean, clear, and easy to read. The screen printing on all buttons and controls are intact and not worn with the exception of the window lock rocker button on the driver's door. The leather interior is in very good condition. The driver seat shows some wear but it is minimal and free of any rips and/or tears. There was a 4" opening in the seam on the passenger seat bottom cushion on the outboard side but it has been stitched up, and because it is on the seam, it is mostly unnoticeable. The rear seats show extremely light use and are in excellent condition. The carpets are clean and show minimal wear. The radio is the factory Ford six disc in-dash changer which functions normally and sounds factory-correct. The cruise control works and functions normally. Again, the A/C is ice cold and was just serviced. One key is included in the sale as that is all we received from the previous owner. This vehicle is sold as-is, where-is from our facility in Nacogdoches, Texas but we will be happy to arrange shipping to the successful bidder at the buyer's expense. We will overnight the sales documents to the successful bidder at our expense to complete the transaction remotely if necessary. We will also make the vehicle available anytime during normal business hours for the duration of the auction for a test drive and/or mechanical inspection at the bidder's expense. The successful bidder is also welcome to come in and complete the sale in person. No PayPal. The sale ends on Monday. After collecting all pertinent information from the successful bidder required to complete the sales documents, a buyer's order (ie, invoice) will be emailed to the successful bidder on Tuesday and a $500 deposit (or optional full payment) in the form of a cashier's check or wire transfer is due within 72 hours of the successful sale. If a deposit is sent in lieu of full payment, we will allow up to seven business days from the close of the auction to receive the balance. We expect the deposit to be received by us on or before Thursday with the balance due by the following Monday (by mail, wire, draft, or in person), no exceptions. Of course we are reasonable if there is a provable hardship, but please understand we are not responsible for assisting the successful bidder in arranging financing. We will work with your prearranged lender (which we do for our customers all the time and we know exactly what is required), but please make sure you are pre-approved for this vehicle before competing to be the final bidder and please make sure your lender will work with and independent dealer (some national lenders will only work with franchise dealers). By bidding, you are entering into a contract to purchase this vehicle. Please be mindful that all applicable tax, title, and license fees are not included in the final bid price and these fees will be collected at the time of sale. All sales are assessed a $125 non-negotiable documentation fee which is reasonable and inexpensive compared to what many other dealers charge. Out of state residents are exempt from Texas state sales tax and must sign an affidavit at the time of sale stating that the vehicle will be transported out of state immediately. Out of state buyers may still be responsible for registration, sales, use, and/or ad valorem taxes and fees in their home state.
