Up for auction is my 1969 911T. This is a project that I just don't have time for any longer and I really need the garage space. This is a numbers matching car with a Porsche certificate of Authenticity. 51K original miles. This car was manufactured in December of 1968 making it one of the first cars made for the 1969 model year. The car started either in Cali or AZ, I am not sure which. I have a letter from a shop in Tuscon and there is a sticker on the fan shroud from a shop in Santa Ana indicating the car was in both places for a while. I purchased the car in 2000. The man I bought it from said he had purchased it as a fixer upper for his son who at the time had no interest in it. He told me that it sat for a number of years until he towed it to hi front lawn where a friend of mine saw it and told me about it. The car had a partial restoration and a wide body was installed on it. When I say partial restoration I say that because the person who did it started off doing things meticulously. It appeared that at some point he just hurried through to finish it up leaving many things short cutted. Most of my work on this car has been spent fixing his short cuts and bringing everything up to snuff. The car still has a way to go however most of the major work is out of the way. The last time the motor ran was about 1 1/2 years ago and at that time it ran very strong and I believe it still does. The transmission shifted very nicely as well. Even when I first purchased it the engine started right up after sitting for a number of years with very little fiddling. Almost everything you need to finish up this project is included. The only things that I can think of that you will need to get is a radio, steering wheel, license plate holder, door mirrors and bumperguards, dash speaker grille and tires/wheels. The car came with Fuchs copies and if you want them I will throw them in for an extra $100.00 (no tires). The steering wheel that is on the car is not the one that comes with it. As far as I know everything else is there. I will be adding more pictures Sunday and Monday night. I will add photos of the underside for sure. I will also be happy to make the car available for a PPI BEFORE auction's end by appointment. I've got some 16" wheel/tires on it now from a Boxster to get it where it is going.
