Someone will own this and NOW YOU THAT CAN BE YOU!! 2014 Hertz Penske Mustang GT This is a very Limited Edition Release car - only 150 made. This fine specimen is VIN 1ZVBP8CF8E5243792 and is car number 68 of the 150 (see photos of number plate). The first 10 cars were manual transmissions and were given directly to Ford Executives (Never sold or released to Hertz.) Another reported 5 cars were given to the Penske Race Team This leaves 135 possible cars released to Hertz for part of the “Hertz Adrenaline Collection” program for 2014. I read a blog of someone who performed a detailed search for this car and he reported 18 that have been searched on and found of these cars were wrecked by careless rental drivers This leaves only one hundred and seventeen (117) cars available. Factor in that another three (3) were also used as charity Auction cars now and are now in private collections That leaves only 114 of these cars that could be available for purchase. Even more so, when I first bought this car, I found 30 or so that were on the market (because they had just released them to the public.) I just did a search and realized that there aren’t any more available (I did find one other that is not being sold for a lot more than what I think this one will close out for – it’s a buy-it-now and is listed for a lot in my opinion.) How to Identify the cars as REAL There should be a badge with the Car # (this one is 68) out of 150 inside door jamb (on the door – see photos.) Also a limited edition badge on the shifter console just in front of the shifter Another badge should be on the firewall drivers side under the hood. There is also a factory installed triple gauge pod (actually from the specialized Laguna Seca edition – I dare you to look up the cost of one of these – They are worth A LOT and then on top of that, they won’t let you order them.) center dash above he center console (you can’t just pick these up anywhere – the specialized oil sending unit is like over $400!) This beautiful 2014 Hertz Penske Ford Mustang GT Coupe 2-Door 5.0L, is an amazing care. Number 68 of 150 Made for Hertz. Be one of the lucky few to drive this extensively modified Ford Mustang GT sports car commemorating Hertz’s sponsorship of Penske Racing. This race-inspired monster for the street WAS only available for rent at Hertz, and with only 117 (see above) available, all of which appear to have been sold now, (150 were produced), it is a rare beast indeed. Because the Penske GT is a rental car, and Americans - ;) - no longer drive manuals, they're all automatics. What they don't tell you is that cars #1–10 are all manuals, and they never entered the rental fleet. They were for VIPs like Roger Penske himself and Hertz executives. “That's not rumormongering, either verified with multiple sources from Ford, Penske, and the Press when the cars were reviewed before release to the Hertz Rental Fleet. Hertz produced 150 of these very special cars, Just under 140 of which found their way into the rental fleet and were available to rent at 12 select Hertz locations nationwide which ended up being Airport rental locations.” This car is # 68. This car just turned 16,000 miles (that’s what it was when I started this listing – sorry guys, it’s at 16,900 now, I couldn’t help my self!) These Hertz Penske GT’s were developed to commemorate the partnership in the Nascar Nationwide series Mustang between Hertz and Penske and they did a great job building an absolutely stunning vehicle. Basically the 150 made for Hertz started life as a 2014 Mustang Black GT Premium model optioned with electronics package, Brembo brake package, Leather Recaro’s and spoiler delete then got a major overhaul for performance and boast 420+ HP, Shelby Port Tuned Exhaust, Front Facia change, Rear Saleen style spoiler and more. This specimen has a CLEAN CAR FAX! I’ve taken and included pictures in several different lights and location so you can see everything clearly. You will love this car. It’s dream to drive – Its catches everyone’s eye and the Roush upgraded GT500 exhaust ($$$) creates a mesmerizing sound that all but forces you to give it the gas as you jet down the highway (or though your neighborhood for that matter – lol.)
