His tastes have changed and we have helped him sell a dozen cars from the collection. This is the 13th and there are only a few left. It appears he is only the 3rd owner of this SVO and included are all the new car delivery documents, including every service manual available for the car. The body is in great shape with no rusted panels as it was rust-proofed when new. New brakes and hatch struts were installed within the last couple years. It has a few issues, but nothing that can not be addressed by a new owner with some time and a little mechanical aptitude. MARQUE HISTORY: The SVO Mustang was Ford’s attempt to create more of a road racer than a drag racer, and Euro GT than a main street tire burner. Only 9,844 were produced between 1984 and 1986. Road&Track called it “perhaps the best all-round car for the enthusiast driver ever produced by the U.S. industry.” It was Ford’s attempt to conquer the European sports car market. The 1985 ½ model had the highest HP (205) and lowest production (439). In 1985 the sticker price was $16,000 ($6,000 more than the 5.0L Mustang)! Steering X Wipers X X Wipers good, but washers inoperable (broken nozzle). Lights X Waste Gate X Appears frozen as the gauge will show over-boost (in the red zone) if pushed too hard.
