Up for sale, is this 1998 Lexus GS 400 that's super clean inside and out. The interior is in excellent condition. There's a rip in the driver's seat, but other than that, the interior is immaculate. The exterior also looks good. There are some minor scuffs/scratches, but the paint still shines up very nicely. The tires and wheels are in good shape, and all the power options function properly. Mechanically, the engine and transmission function perfectly, and the car drives like new. However, the alternator is not charging, and am not sure what the problem is. A new alternator was installed. I took it to another mechanic who said it could be a that the alternator was installed incorrectly, a defective alternator, or a bad wire and/or connection. So rather than spend additional money trying to figure it out and install another alternator, I just decided to sell it as-is. There car runs and drives perfectly, but the battery will eventually die. There are no other issues with the car. The reserve is set extremely low, but the car is also available for sale locally, which means the auction could end at anytime. So don't snooze on this one. Offers are welcomed.
