Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1986 Honda cr500 in Excellent Condition! Bike has been gone through and new parts added over the past year while I have been restoring this monster. I planned on keeping it but I have a newer KTM and unfortunately I must sell. Upgrades include; New Gold Chain and Renthal Sprockets - TIRES with only a couple rides on them mostly to test. Replaced the Riser Bushings with oem HONDA Bushings eliminating lose handlebars that you normally find on these bikes. New rear wheel bearings. New Fork Boots and Renthal grips. New right side case to rebuild water pump that usually plagues these bikes. Although there was only minor corrosion when I disassembled the water pump, I wanted this bike 100% so I replaced everything, side case, water pump assembly with all new bearings, gaskets, even the bolts. Photo included of the OEM case I purchased from Honda before replacing. Future corrosion issues eliminated, titanium case replaced with updated Aluminum. This bike is unusual comparing other CR500's I've seen in the past. The clutch lever pulls in easy and its an easy starting 500. It never misses a beat and starts in 2-3 kicks. I've never seen a 500 start this good! Of course a new spark plug always helps and new oil change was done. Many hours and dollars invested. I hate to sell this bike but someone will get a great bike that needs nothing but a new rider. Would be a great bike to race in the vintage class, or just rip around on. Or a great bike to take to the next restoration level and put it in your living room on the coffee table where it belongs! :) - Bad Azz CR500!
