Up for auction is a restored 1960 Willys Jeep Truck with great running Ford 289. This is an awesome old truck, with the old Willys look and feel with some new features and upgrades. Four wheel drive and high/low range works great and shifts through the gears great. There is a new stereo built into a custom console and new speakers hidden away under the seats. Almost the entire electrical system in new, new paint, wheels, etc. This is a head turning old truck. The following link will show more photos of the truck and the restoration process: CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS Below is a list of some of the work, upgrades and new components: - First truck was completely cleaned with degreaser and pressure washer - Frame was sand blasted and painted - Cab was sanded down to metal, body work done so it is completely straight, primed with PPG DZ Primer - Cab and Interior and Trim parts and components sanded primed, painted and clear coated - Restored bed, weathered boards were sanded, stained and finished with a marine spar varnish to give a weathered, but new look to the bed, awesome color and grain pattern to the weathered wood with the spar varnish finish - New stainless steel bed strips fastened with stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers - Completely Re-wired, not more than a couple original wires on the trucks - New fuse and power panel - LED Tail and Brake Lights - New Signal/Hazard light control switch - New Electric Cooling fan - New single wire alternator (got rid of old generator) -New battery - New electric wiper motor, converted from old vacuum style - New Parking Light Bezels - Rebuilt/Finished Original dash gauge speedometer, fuel - New gauge cluster for oil pressure, temp, battery voltage - New light switch - New fuel tank and sending unit - Tune-up...New coil, resistor, cap, cap rotor, plugs wires, etc. - New glass for whole truck - New weather strip and window seals for whole truck - New fitted floor mat with insulation and sound deadner - Custom seats with Willys logo - Truck has rear airbags - Finished drums and hubs - New brake shoes - New door and window crank handles - Brand new 16x8 Allied Rock Crusher Wheels & 285/75R16 Maxxis Bighorn Tires - New exhaust with glass packsHave receipts for engine work and rebuild on transmission. There is much more that has been done and much more new parts put on this truck, but too much to remember. I have pics of the restoration and can send if interested.
