Vehicle Detail
1990 IROC Z-28This is the last year of production for the IROC. Built in the Fremont CA plant in 9/89, and shipped to Tyrrell-Marxen Chevrolet in Flagstaff AZ. Original equipment includes: 5.7 TPI, 700 R4 trans, performance positraction axle, heavy duty suspension, and performance exhaust system. This well equipped Camaro has less than 71K original miles. Vehicle was stored for many years, and once removed from storage, the following was performed:New Cat back exhaust, fuel tank flushed and new fuel pump and sock installed, new Bosch fuel injectors, new battery, hoses, thermostat, serpentine belt, new (less than 100 miles) Firestone Firehawk 245/50/16 tires, new carpet, headliner, sunvisors, dash cap, speakers, all fluids drained and re-filled. The original R-12 A/C system was checked out, and new freon installed. There are no leaks, funny smells or butchered wiring. Underhood is clean, and nearly 100% stock. The car runs, drives, stops, and steers good. As you can see from the photos, the AZ sun hasn't been kind to the paint. The body is in exceptional condition, with just one spot (wavy) on the hood below the windshield on the drivers side. I tried to show this area in the photos. The IROC could use new rear shocks, door window rubbers (new exterior ones included) body prep (minimal) & paint, and a few items (horn, power mirrors) dialed in. Also, there was window tint on the windows that I removed, with the exception of the rear hatch glass. What's quite amazing is that everything is present; even the space saver spare, jack, and inflation cartridge. The original 16" IROC specific wheels are in great shape with all center caps, lugs and covers. Also included are the owners manual and related books, and two sets of keys. There is ABSOLUTLY no rust in this IROC, which makes it the perfect candidate for a 100% restoration. This car deserves to be taken to the next level. I've come to the point where storage for several vehicles makes it difficult to keep them all. Here's a list of the RPO codes (picture also attached) inside the console glove box: AC3, AG9, AJ3, AM9, AR9, AU3, A31, A90, B18, B2L, B34, B35, B84, C49, C60, DC4, DG7, D34, D42, D5X, D8F, DE80, D88, E5Z, E9Z, FE2, GU5, G80, G92, IPC, J65, KC4, K34, K68, L98, MD8, MXO, NA5, NP5, N10, N64, N96, QLC, T93, T96, UB3, UM6, UQ1, U79, VAN, VK3, V73, WW6, W62, Z28, 1AY, 1SD, 19C, 19I, 199, 6ZW, 7ZW, 75U, 8NL, 85Q, 88A, 9NL, 92P Running these codes confirms that this is a special order car with the G92, GU5 3:42 performance axle, L98 5.7 TPI and N10 performance exhaust. I also noticed that the car was originally equipped with both a power drivers seat, and the split fold down rear seat. Neither is still with the car, but the wiring for the power seat is. Apparently the seats were changed out by the previous owner at some time. All other options listed are intact. Once payment is made in full, I can hold the car for up to 30 days for no charge. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs from Clarkdale, AZ 86324 which is 100 miles north of Phoenix.I've bought & sold many vehicles on eBay, and plan to keep my 100% positive rating intact. Please have your financing in place prior to bidding as well as permission from anyone you might need it from.I've tried my best to be fair and honest in my description and photos of the car. If you'd like ANY additional information, photos etc just ask. My reserve is low and fair for the condition and rarity of this well optioned car. Remember, 12/89 was the last time Chevrolet built an IROC. Winning bidder needs to contact me at close of auction. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit through pay pal is due within 24 hours of auctions end unless prior arrangement has been made. NOTE: The Auto-check shows the previous owner filing for an abandoned title. Apparently, the title from the original owner to the second owner was misplaced. The state of AZ will issue a clear / clean title to anyone willing to transport the car to a DMV facility, have an inspection performed, and wait 90 days. The title I have states the 70,032 "Box A" (original) miles that were on the car when I purchased it. On Sep-12-15 at 11:35:04 PDT, seller added the following information: An observant reader made me aware that the rear end gear ratio for this car is a 3.23 unit. Thanks
