Vehicle Detail
Fun to driver 5 speed manual transmission Taurus SHO Gen. II. I have owned this SHO since Nov'10. Prior to me owning the vehicle was from North Carolina. Two previous owners that I am aware. The first was a lady and then a southern man who sold to me as he was newly married and purchasing a house. Now it is time for me to hand off this fun to drive car to another SHO enthusiast as my son wants to spend time boating/fishing with me. Since owning, I have driven about 1K miles. I have changed the oil, replaced the emergency break and radiator fan. The previous owner did the following to the SHO: - 60K mile maintenance schedule at 127K miles which included timing belt, tensioner, valve cover, plug well gaskets and sensors. The typical 60K mile schedule each 60K miles. - Cold air intake - Catless High Performance Y-pipe (may not pass emissions in CT) - I never registered the SHO - Dynomax Mufflers - Underdrive Crank Pulley - Cincy Cowl Inducted Hood (Fiberglass) - Indiglo white face gauges with changing colors blue/green - Lowered on Eibach Performance Springs - Ingall Adjustable Rear Control Arms - Front Strut Tower Bar - LPM Programmed for all mods by SHOsource The car is sold as is. Been fun to drive. Have a nice day!On Sep-06-15 at 18:22:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: I checked the mileage today when I took the car for a short drive. The car is actually around 148,500 miles. On Sep-07-15 at 16:36:11 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: On 9/7, took the car for a 5 mile drive around town. Prior to driving, I checked the fluids. Everything was good. After the drive, I do the same about 15-20 min later or about when the engine is warm, but not hot. The oil stick was fine. However, I was about 1-1.5 cups of coolant low. During the drive there was no visible white smoke and no leaks while the car sat. Nor did the check coolant light came on. I just want to disclose everything I know about the car. I will drive the SHO tomorrow and let you know any status changes. I'm trying to get as many joy rides in before the SHO is in the hands of another enthusiast. On Sep-09-15 at 17:41:16 PDT, seller added the following information: 9/9 - I did some research and found that often a new radiator cap needs to be matted to the new radiator as the old cap (original in this case) may not sit flush as the spring wears out. I put the new cap on and ran the car for about 15min this evening. No missing coolant.
