V8 Conversions were done by the dealers right away, but actual 283 V8’s were not factory available until 1964, and the 1965 Nova had the first 327 – 300 HP V8 option to compete with new GTO. The V8 & floor shift AT fit nice& low, a snug fit into this vehicle with low center of gravity so car handles extremely well. This black beauty Chevy II has the later OEM 1964 Nova SS sides, rear & glove-box badging professionally added to it for a classic muscle car look.
