Vehicle Detail
I am offering my 1971 911 T Targa. COA verifies original numbers matching 2.2L engine and same 911 transmission (not the 901) from the factory, original Zenith dual triple barrel inline 40TIN carburetors, the last year and model. COA says optioned from the factory with “light metal wheels 6Jx15” (Fuchs) since updated and special color option 8484 Blue Metallic since painted black with black interior, factory tinted glass all around is still intact. Drives, shifts and brakes all work fine but needs a restoration, clear title in hand. This car was updated to coil over rear suspension, what looks like stainless headers with heat, aftermarket tail and updated to one 12V battery. Recently new are the fuel pump, fuse panel replaced and carbs cleaned and balanced and then car was not used much for past 4 years until I bought it. The original blue body color had been painted black to compliment the black interior. Interior controls and dash are stock, black leather seats were updated to Carrera and wood Raid Turbo steering wheel. The car needs a rust combat, there are holes are in the floor near driver feet and battery boxes I treated until I could get to them. Surface rust on front pan and elsewhere with spots on the bottom of rear seats but rear window ledge looks completely clean. This is a great project and mechanically is missing nothing, I have extras like the original glass fuel filter and targa lock tool. This was the most updated year for Zenith Carbs that sound great, it has the stock chrome window trim including covered brass movable vent windows that were dropped on the coupe’s starting in ’69. Last year factory used the front silver metal horn grills (by ‘72 they were coated plastic) and classic LWB brushed stainless targa roll bar with vents (added in 69) Rotisserie restorations of these are going for 90k plus, especially with desirable colors and good options and are harder and harder to find restorable long hood 911's this cheap anymore. Clean and clear title in my possession and ready to go. Car is 131,966 miles. I’ll be happy to help with shipping quotes and arrangements. This vehicle is not registered so it should be towed or picked up by a car hauler.
