Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 40th anniversary limited edition (number 1594). I will do my best to describe everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly. If you have any questions please call my cell directly at 406-788-5998. The cruiser is located in Glasgow KY 42141. Only reason I am selling this cruiser is because I am going to start driving my fj45 pickup. No the pickup is NOT for sale. This is the 40th anniversary edition land cruiser with the decals. It has a clean straight body with only 1 minor ding on the passenger rear side quarter panel(see pics). It is minimal. There are a few dings and scratches on the hood but overall looks very nice for its age. The cruiser runs strong even with the high miles. The AC blows cold and all electronics work with the exception of the sunroof and the seat motors. I keep the sunroof closed so it has never been an issue. The seat motors will occasionally work but for the most part they don't move forward or reverse. The recline feature works fine. I don't adjust them so once again, never an issue. The cruiser runs like a sewing machine and I wouldn't be afraid to drive it across the country. It has been serviced every 5000 miles with synthetic fluids. That being said it will burn about a half quart of oil in between changes. Taking the miles into consideration, never an issue. The high and low range, shift fine. The rear hatch only opens from the inside. I believe it to be an internal piece that came off. Its been like that for a few months and I never took the time to address the issue. Could be something simple. There was a little rust around the top corner of the windshield (driver side) where the glass company chipped the paint a few years ago when replacing windshield. It has some ( oem matching paint) sprayed on it. It doesn't match great but doesn't look bad. There is an exhaust leak which will occasionally throw a check engine code. Can go 4 weeks and can go 4 days, ya never know but sooner or later the code will come back for the exhaust leak. NOW FOR THE BEST PART: If you are still reading then you know what kind of machine these land cruisers are. I even have both of the original key fobs. This thing is a tank and I have tried to describe every little thing I can possibly think of that is wrong with it. What I call wrong is really minor things given the fact this is almost a 20 year old vehicle. I don't want buyer to have any surprises. With all mentioned above, I feel this is a very solid reliable vehicle with lots of miles and usage left in her. She looks classy yet has a rugged reliable side. Any pic you want, just ask. Want a test drive, stop by. This will make someone an excellent vehicle. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. NO RESERVE! One more thing: I have been very honest so I ask the same from you. If you can't afford to purchase this vehicle, don't bid. If you need your wife's permission, get it before bidding. If you have to sell your car before bidding, then please do so. If you have cash in hand, then bid away. :) Once again, any questions don't hesitate to call my cell 406-788-5998.
