Hello Chevy Caprice lovers, I have for sell a 1989 box shape Chevy. This car will start with the turn of the key and sounds good. She has the original 305 in it with the original transmission of a little over 97,000 miles on it. This car was is being used as a daily driver to commute me back and forth to work 40 miles both ways. This car is for someone who is looking for a derby car, a project car, or a quick fixer upper to bring back to her glory days. The reason I say that is because she need a headliner, body work and paint job, interior work, muffler, and the transmission pan gasket has a small leak; a very small leak. The mechanical part are all easy fix the transmission pan gasket is about $25/$30 dollars and comes with a filter. You just have to unscrew about 14/15 bolts to replace it. The only part that can be costly fixing this car up is the body and interior work and that why I'm selling it. I just had a son and cannot afford to fix her up like I want to; people where I am from take these cars and make show car out of them. They look real nice fixed up and restored. You can drive this car home if you live around Dodge City Ks she could make it longer distance but that's a risk you would have to take. Since I owned the car I have fixed the turn light signals, brake lights, added a aftermarket CD player, changed the oil, replaced the plugs, new heater control valve, and fixed the review mirror. She sometimes cut off on me but I can crank her back up and she moves. These type of cars are easy to fix on and the problem could be in the carburetor needing cleaning out. The car is also weak when traveling up hills but once she going she will make it. I am not a mechanic so the problems I am mentioning never stop me from driving her around town and to work. Since I owned the vehicle I have placed over 2,000 miles on her. I can have A.C added to the car for additional $160 thats a new compressor and charged and I do not know if the heat works. The car has a rock chip crack in the windshield which I have added photo to show. The radio works just fine in it but the car needs a screw on antenna for perfect reception in some areas. The tires are ok but the front end needs shock replacement but all joints have been greased and oiled. The car is being sold as a "As Is" vehicle for I am a private owner and cannot offer warranties. I drive the car as a daily driver and never experienced any major problems the engine sounds nice no knocks and the transmission shifts without any slippage.
