Up for sale is my wife's 2004 C240 Wagon with 4 Matic. We bought this car maybe 3 years ago to replace my wife's convertible, as we needed a better mommy car. The car was bought at 132k miles and it now has 147k miles. So it has been driven 15k miles in the last 3 years. The car has always been garaged and rarely driven in the snow. It's been well maintained with timely oil changes and it is kept in excellent running shape. Vehicle is in very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. The paint is nice and shinny, and the interior is very clean. The car is well equipped, with all the goodies of the day and sports Mercedes's all wheel drive system. The car has had brand new Bridgestone tires installed this spring, so maybe they have about 1.5k miles on them. Every thing works in the car and there are absolutely no issues that render the car unsafe to drive. There are two know issues that I will describe below. The engine is a 2.6 liter v6 paired with a 5 speed auto. You can read reviews of the car if you choose to do some research. All in all the car is in very nice shape and it would make a great beginner vehicle for a teenage driver, or it could make a great daily driver for someone looking to upgrade form something less "fancy" We all know the C-Class is the "cheap' Mercedes of the lineup but there is nothing cheap about this wagon. It has soft touch surfaces everywhere and none of the cheap plastic of today that is found even in high end vehicles. Bottom line is that this car in in top notch shape! It needs to be sold as we have leased another brand new wagon. The known issues I have spoken about: - Car does not have a dipstick but rather an electronic oil level sender. This has become defective shortly after I bought it and never bothered to replace it. The car has absolutely no leaks and burns no oil, so I never feared that the oil levels might be low. I DID JUST BUY a sensor from the Mercedes dealer but did not have time to replace it. It comes with the car. Its an easy fix and can be done by anyone when the oil is changed. - The sun roof of the car never really opened in one shot. You would have to hit the switch repeatedly until the desired opening is achieved. IT DOES however close normally. I never bothered fixing this. Its not worth it.
