2000 E430 Mercedes with a powerful V8 engine,the car has 117,000 miles on it. This car was my wife's daily driver,then one day on her way home from work the car stopped at a red light but wouldn't take off,she called me & I told her to turn the car off and then turn it back on,that worked and she made it home,needless to say the next morning she drove my car to work and I took her car and low and behold it did the same thing to me,I shut it off then turned it back on and it pulled off as if there was nothing wrong but 10min later the problem came back & the car went into what the Mercedes dealer described as limp mode,thats when the transmission partially shuts down and allows you to slowly creep at a low speed. The car was placed in Mercedes Benz care,I payed $125 for a qualified Mercedes technician to diagnose the car and I was told that it needed a conductor plate along with a general tune-up,the car runs and drive,starts right up. The wheels and tires cost $2,200 19x8.5 in the front & 19 x9.5 in the rear,it has a very aggressive look. My wife has since brought a new car last year and the Mercedes has been sitting in the garage,I drive it around short distances to keep the battery charged and ETC. it's a good car that needs a little TLC. I've seen brand new conductor plate kits on eBay for under $180.00, if your handy with cars or know of someone who is this cars is a easy fix. Questions are welcomed
