Vehicle Detail

I have up for sale a 71 Mach 1 Ford Mustang. This is a true Mach 1. Clean Kentucky title. Runs great just needs the carb tweeked a bit. The car was originally red but I wanted something different than the cookie cutter look. I have always been intrigued by the SR 71 spy plane(AKA Habu, AKA Blackbird). Saw one in Okinawa and almost got shot for gawking at it(top secret). I fell in love with the 'Big' Mach 1's as soon as they came out back in 71 but being poor and in high school it was a one way romance. I came across this a couple of years ago and decided to build my dream car by combining the SR71 and 71 Mach 1...Sleek, Sexy, Mysterious, Fast, Unique . Alas , I got 95 % of it done and fell in love with another car. My reserve is about 4K less than what I have in it(hopefully I get that but If not I got that much enjoyment out of it while I had it). It is a hoot to cruise. So if you want to finish the 'Habu' up bid with confidence you WILL be getting your moneys worth and will have something that stands out at car shows or anywhere you go. It is listed with 127K miles but the motor and tranny were rebuilt 200 miles ago. Most everything that I have listed on here is 200 miles old MOTOR is a donor from a 93 GT with low miles . It is a 302 High Output that was rebuilt with all new parts inside and an Erson 303 Cam thrown in. Runs and SOUNDS awesome. Uses Synthetic Mobil 1 oil TRANSMISSION is a reworked T5 out of the donor 93 GT. It is a 5 speed which is lots of fun. Hurst shifter REAREND has Richmond 3.89 gears New Flowmaster exhaust gives it a really bad throaty sound New Chrome master cylinder/booster and brakes at all corners. Power Disc Brakes Power Steering. Holley 600 four barrel. Body is straight and my bodyman cut out any rust and welded metal in where needed. Has NEW floorpans, New trunkpan . Parts that are NEW: Heater Core Dashpad Exhaust Decals(special made...cost a pretty penny) Floorpans Trunkpan Grill Equus Blue instrument Guages Oversized chrome oil pan Boss CD/Dvd with 7 inch screden Speakers Chrome traction bars Headlinert Belt tensioner Trunk fully carpeted Plus MORE Things needed: Front Seat Belts(I know should have been the first thing put in(I have a wife). Does have all the rear belts. Paint is OK but has runs in the clear coat in places(bodyman had a brain freeze the day he painted it). Can be sanded out if you have the patience. I would rate the paint at about 7.75 out of ten. If you are ten feet away it looks perfect but a car show judge would eat your lunch. Glove box was old and I threw it away. pretty cheap. Drivers side Mach 1 decal got scratched during storm. I touched it up and is OK from 10 feet. Heater is tempremental. Works part time . Probably a ground. Probably forgetting something new or something needed but you get the picture. You will be getting an awesome car and you are not going to have 25,000 invested in it. Heck, my reserve is actually embarrassing for a car like this. You will have to pickup or have a carrier pickup. I work all the time and cannot arrange shipping. I require cash money or a certified check that is cashed at my bank before it leaves my property.
