Vehicle Detail

2001 Volvo V70 T5 Premium 2.3L High-compression 245 HP Turbo Wagon In Polar White with Tan Interior Only 61,000 miles and it shows! Power everything. ATTENTION "WATCHERS" - The V70 T5 seems to be generating a lot of local interest and I've received a few somewhat decent offers so far. I'm not sure I will accept them, so if you have an interest, now is the time to place a "Make An Offer" so I will know about you and can communicate. I am the second owner. This is the real thing with factory specs, factory premium wheels and has had the milage kept extremely low to keep it’s value. All paperwork/receipts/work included (complete folder). Some of the many reasons this model is so sought after (other than it’s extreme rarely) is it’s ability to be extremely easy to insure, invisible as far as sports cars go, extremely fast and yet still possesses all of the benefits of a very roomy SUV (the front passenger seat also folds down for holding lumber and long items that most trucks can’t even handle) and all of the safety benefits Volvos are historically known for. It’s slightly smaller but highly compresses Turbo means it has almost 100 more horsepower than the regular 2.4L. Turbos usually only kick in at 40 miles per hour or higher. This one kicks in around 20 MPH which means it works almost like a super charger. It has power in the beginning of acceleration and not halfway through. You can feel it immediately. Feels like a much larger engine right from the start, yet it still gets the exact same miles per gallon and the more common, larger, less horsepower engine you see in other Volvos. In my opinion the Polar White color has kept it’s new car look far longer than the other colors. This is my second White, Special Edition Volvo wagon. I also had the special one in Monochrome made in 1997. For a very short while, I owned both. This was the first year that Ford bought Volvo and decided they should be good looking and fast. Kelly Bluebook doesn’t even list this highly sought after model/engine. When researching online, be sure to find info on the 2.3L engine/tire performance package, not just the plain models. Currently regular top-end Volvos are going for up to and over $9K with well over 125K miles on them and that is the regular 2.4 L engine with much less power… on the very rare occasion one becomes available. I did find one online for sale but it was already sold (Screenshot included). I found a few that said they were that model but upon calling found out the VIN numbers didn’t match (in other words they were lying about it online). If you would like to own a regular Volvo you can get one less expensively but it will not be in as good a condition, and will have a lot more milage on it. Volvos go for a long time. The world record holder for highest milage car is a Volvo here in the USA. My sister sold her Wagon after 250K for around double bluebook. I’ve even seen a few white wagons locally in Craig’s List with many more miles and much worse condition. I’m guessing from looking at them that they smell differently from mine as well. If you want something special with super-low milage then I think I have what you are looking for. I do really hate to sell it but just have too many personal cars now and have decided we need the space more now. 4 cars for 2 people is just too much. I’m tired of having to shuffle cars just to leave the house! I am not buying another vehicle at this time so not interested in any type of trade. It still tickles me that people I know as well as complete strangers come up to me to tell me what a nice looking car I have, and it’s a plain, factory 2001 wagon… and they have no idea what is under the hood much less the factory spec, wide racing Perelli tires. If someone local gets it first, I will also include a few other small items (new cabin air filter, spare fluids, built-in cargo nets-purchased separately but not installed yet, various Volvo LOGO tools, pens, cups etc.) that I can also easily sell to collectors to make up for the listing fees if I have to list nationally online.
