Vehicle Detail

1950 Ford F1 Pickup Backyard Find. This pickup has been sitting in the back yard for 30 years. Odometer shows less then 12,000 miles but you be the judge. The previous owner damaged the driver side front fender then sold the pickup to his friend. It didn't move for the next thirty years. They had installed a 1956 T-Bird Y block 292 engine with a holly 4 barrel " Tea Pot" carburetor. That was a popular setup back then. Might be why he damaged the front fender. Click this link of my photo bucket for lots of pictures. http://s535.photobucket.com/user/new2camaro/library/1950%20Ford%20F1%20Pickup I rebuilt the "tea Pot" carb and installed an electric fuel pump and new rubber lines. Instead of cleaning the gas tank I just replaced it with a new one. Changed all the fluids and replaced the brake master cylinder. The tires and wheels are at least 30 years old. It starts right up and runs and drives real nice. No smoke. Brakes are real good. Clutch is good and shifts good. Going down the highway it drives real smooth and comfortable like a car. Easy to drive. For its age of 65 years it's in incredible shape. The interior is really nice. Well painted, new carpet, good gauges and even has the original radio delete plate in the glove box ready to reinstall if you want. It even has maroon color diamond tuck head liner popular in it's time. The body is real straight with only minor dings, except for the driverside replaced front fender. It's the best original steel one I could find. You can finish it IF you want. It's not a show truck "yet" and looks good with a primered fender. The bed floor has a replaceable metal floor over a wood floor. That's how they came. It has some rust and you could replace it. Look down the bed rails in the pictures to see how straight they are. The front bumper is included in this sale. It has the unrestored "original only once" look the trend is headed today. This is that very solid investment truck. Recent Hagerty magazine article in this link. https://news.classiccars.com/pickups-booming-collector-vehicles-hagerty-says/ If you want a cool looking pickup that keeps its value, and you can start driving it without doing anything except hanging a license plate on it, THEN THIS IS IT. Get it. Please ask questions and look at the pictures before and during bidding. Please be able to pay so I don't have to sell it over again. If you have less than a bidder score of 3, please contact me or I may consider you as not serious and remove your bid at my discretion. Good luck!
