Vehicle Detail

The RS America is a lightened, limited edition, performance version of the Porsche 911 which according to Porsche “commemorates the 20th Anniversary of”, and “captures the spirit of” the original 1973 RS. This RS is in great condition. 7.5-8 out of 10. Shows signs of typical road wear and small blemishes. Rear stowage bins are missing (previous owner installed subwoofers which I removed) and the gauges should be reconditioned as they have cracks on the faces from the Florida heat. Only selling because I am moving out of the country. Still considering putting the car in storage and keeping so no crazy low ball offers or non-Porsche enthusiasts need reply. The car has all manuals and case. Short shift kit, Fabspeed 964 RSR Header Muffler kit, and 911Chips Performance Chip installed (original chip and mufflers included). Not installed but included is a Sachs Disk and Pressure Plate for a LWF conversion (you still need flywheel, release, etc to complete swap). Please let me know if you have any questions! On Aug-25-15 at 20:59:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I am getting a lot of questions about the car so I figured I would try to elaborate. This car is not perfect. It is a driven, 23 year old car. This was my 9th Porsche and by far my favorite. The way it drives with the rack and pinion steering and turbo suspension (factory) is like no other. (My previous 911 was a mint '93 Turbo black on black), and i would not trade back for any reason... (this car is way more fun to drive) No frills. They way they were meant to be. Pull straps for handles (as from the factory and only on an RS), no sound deadening material as from the factory, the new exhaust (over 5k in parts and labor) sounds crazy awesome. The chip is great but I think it makes the car run a bit rich. interior is like brand new. There is not a drip of oil (hence that crazy upside down pictures of the Fabspeed free slow exhaust with heat ex-changers). The AC I charge once a year.... Florida is hot and I suspect a small leak. In my opinion doesn't need to be fixed right away. There is a small rust bubble by the lower right windshield. Should be attended to in the next year or so. If you haven't noticed these things are selling from 70's to 160k. Crazy.... but this is not only an awesome car but a good investment. How often can you say that about a car! Here was my 5 year project plan for the car. There is too much work already done to list it all. Bilstein's coils overs PSS10 (22 year old suspension... you can put the original turbo suspension back in cheaper or go coil overs)Keep looking for rear stowage bins.... i missed a couple by just daysReplace the door panels and handles with ones that have no speaker holes and but a blank in place of the stereo which I already have (with the way it sounds... it just doesn't and shouldn't have a stereo) ** Option 2 is find the original stereo and speakers and just never use them. (fyi that came with a cassette deck) Replace the door hand pull straps... they have typical ageReplace the seat belts... just because they are a little dingy... normal wear on red seat beltsredo the gauges so they look new and get calibrated (picture showed the flaking and 2 of the glass fronts are foggy)New disks and brakes... just time like the suspensionPaint at some point. Though the car looks awesome.... it will need paint at some point in the next 5 years or so. Though there is no major paint damage and only small blemishes... but Porsche paint is soft and 23 years is a while. It just had a major service so you are good on that for a while. So again if you are not interested in a long term awesome car... not for you. Is not a low ball flip. This is for a Porsche enthusiasts that gets it. I am happy to speak in detail about the car so please send me your phone number.
