1973 Triumph TR7V. Running project. The owner of this motorcycle started to perform a complete restoration. The engine was stored in a climate-controlled garage with the ports covered. The frame, swingarm, triple tree and loose parts shown (center stand, footrests and engine mounts) were painted in automotive quality gloss black. The rolling chassis had been loosely assembled with new aftermarket rear shocks and stock wheels. We purchased it in mid restoration condition with the engine removed. After checking the oil reservoir in the frame to ensure it was clean and installing a clean frame filter, we installed the engine, drained the sump and renewed the oil. We then installed a new battery, fitted some basic wiring and provided a gravity fuel reservoir; the engine started on the second kick. In the attached video, the engine started on the first kick from cold with the normal priming of the carburetor (tickling). The engine will clean up nicely, it does not smoke and it shifts through all 5 gears. The bike has matching numbers and a clear vehicle title. The fork tubes will need replacement and many components are missing. The auction includes only what is shown and there is no warranty. This is a great opportunity to own a very desirable single carb right shift Triumph with a great deal of potential. This is a no reserve auction and shipping is not offered.
