Up for sale is this beautiful 1979 BMW R100S vintage motorcycle. It is one in a line of my collection of beautiful motorcycle that are being sold due to my age and encouragement from my family members. It is very hard to let go, but health reasons do not allow me to ride all my collection as I would like. They all need a person that will continue to enjoy and take care of such wonderful and selective motorcycles that I have purchased over the years. This bike is unique because it was purchased in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, and brought into the United States for my collection. It has an outstanding look and ride. The previous owner took loving care as I have. I have invested my time, effort, and $$$ to bring the bike up to my high standards. Everything works as it should, all electrics, signals, horn, brake lights, head light, etc. there is nothing needed. The battery is strong and is always kept on a tender like all my bikes. Nothing is overlooked. The tank is excellent both inside and out. Original paint, but some added pinstripes with tape... as I purchased the bike. Small touch ups to the blue frame that is in beautiful condition. I added brand new headers, crossover, and mufflers that only have less than 50 miles on them. This bike has been kept, like all of my bikes in one of my garages that are heated in the winter, and air in the summer. You will love this bike I am sure. This is not a "concourse" level BMW, but beautiful. It is unique with a kilometer speedo and tach. Try to find one in the US! Here you have a collectible European BMW in New Jersey. The valve covers were made by CC Products out of San Jose California, and purchased by the previous owner from San Jose BMW. CC Products was like the ( Carol Shelby) of Motorcycles producing high end racing equipment. These valve covers are extremely strong, and painted with dark blue porcelain paint. ( very rare )!!! There are two areas on the fairing that have hairline cracking of the paint... this area has two BMW decals that cover this area. Looks nice, but in the future you may want to have it touched up and blended to your liking. The cracking in the paint is very minor, it is not flaking, it is like old pottery that have hairline cracking in a 2" diameter circle. Just wanted to let you know. This is a matching numbers bike!
