Let me start by saying that the highest bidder will win this vehicle. "Good Luck"! i purchased this awesome truck almost a year ago form the NYC NYPA Police Auction. it appeared very nice and it was one of the vehicles that the police officer put a jumper to and started right up. it sounded very quite, it was a quick and very strong start up. it was a bad winter and i needed the best 4x4. so knowing the monster reputation for the Excursion i had to have it. the terms were that i had to bring it for a special state inspection and the truck passed with flying colors. i drove it home and enjoyed it through the rest of the winter. the truck had to come with a title that claims salvage, it is a policy that NYC has when coming to selling confiscated vehicles. the fact was that the previous owner was using it as an illegal limo at JFK airport, he had accumulated too much money in fines and could not afford to get it out of the pound. it turns out that one mans miss-fortune became my gem. during my first snow storm i saw countless people stranded in the snow and the truck was comfortably cutting through snow drifts as if the ground had nothing on it, i was amazed. the truck has been used to go back and forth between my work yard 5 days a week and parked on the weekends, a total of about 8 miles a day or 40 miles a week. it has 123,600 miles on it, i put a new (not rebuilt) alternator in it, 4 heavy duty brake pads, a new battery, new fluids and filters, and bought a new oil plug and that's all it needed. i have no concerns selling this vehicle to a new owner, it is very strong and reliable and anyone who buys it will be lucky to own it. The Cons the cons are minor and contribute to minor vehicle aesthetics. 3 inch. separation at the seam at the left corner of the driver side chair, a 2 1/2 inch. paint chip on the driver side passenger door frame, alligator cracking type of pattern on the hood of the car (not noticeable unless light is shined on it), what looks to be a black protective coating of paint applied under the roof rack of the truck not noticeable due to the trucks height non the less maybe a good thing, sometimes when you leave a lite you may feel a slight shift i was told that it was a mount, no baring on trucks performance, bottom of the running boards are rusted in places not noticeable unless looked for but the running boards are secondary additions to the truck; new owner can replace if needed but they look good, some minor rust inside rear door jams on both passenger and driver sides in the corners just in front of the rear wheels again, not noticeable unless looking for it, no spare tire, very minor lite scratches on driver door, passenger window works but sometimes does not; seems to be a loose connection, passenger side heated seat switch is not working, passenger mirror works every directions accept outward, a/c works great but looses charge in 2-3 days; slight leak, passenger side rear door has a scratch near handle (three inches vertical), and missing one rear sealing air vent cap. so yes there are a few cons to the truck but majority and meaningless and do not diminish the beauty and the mechanics of this fine truck. The Pros the truck has a strong heavy-duty suspension and sits nice an high, solid frame no rot at all, no leaks from any seals the truck is very dry, no check engine light or any lights what so ever, recently inspected passed with flying colors, heavy duty commercial tow hitch with electrical harness in place (2 1/2 ton rating), high polished chrome 5 slot heavy duty rims, third row removable seats, full leather interior, captain style front seats with movable arm rests, limited edition wood grain door panel finishes, 4 way electric side view heated mirrors, heated seats, 8 way electric drivers seat, special multi-power ports throughout the whole truck, large power rear windows, champagne secondary exterior trim, factory smoked privacy glass, 4 way second row seating, rear cargo netting behind front seats, 4 spot rear ceiling illumination, rear audio controls with headphone jacks at feet, rear climate control (2nd and 3rd row), factory air bags, ABS breaks, power windows, power seats, cup holders, 2 main dash power point port, almost new Firestone LT 265/75R16 Transforce HT tires matching all around, factory stereo with CD and Cassette deck with factory installed 6 pack CD holder and player in arm rest, wood-grain finish clipboard holder on arm rest, 2WD - 4x4 High & 4x4 Low on dash, heated rear window, cruise control, tow mode, transmission switch on steering column, the color of the truck is gorgeous and the paint is primarily stunning and of course that Monster Triton V-10 and more. there is just simply to much to list. i tried to be as detailed oriented as possible so all of YOU! Term of Sale Truck is located in Woodmere, NY 11598 and is available for scheduled on site inspection, test drives, etc... before any and all bids are placed if you like. a bid is considered a binding offer and cannot be withdrawn, there are no returns. i have a clear open title in hand. i prefer cash, certified bank check. i need to receive that $500 dollar PayPal deposit within the first 2 days. Full payment due at time of pick up. vehicle will NOT be released until PIF and all checks have cleared. It's most important that anyone who is interested in this vehicle knows that it is a fantastic truck. It has NEVER been in an accident as you can see by the title check . The only reason that the title is marked as salvage is because the city of New York has their policies , I personally felt it was wrong but again it takes nothing away from this vehicle.I also disagree that in the hi-lited area of the vehicle description the title check is marked as a major issue , because it is not.
