Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a really sweet 1965 ElCamino project with a clear up to date Indiana title in my name..The project underway from the previous owner was a 65 Pro Street. It has a 10 point roll cage fabbed in with an Alston swing out bar for the driver side. The shell itself is sweet and much work has already been done. The quality of work done previously is very nice. My quals for saying that; I'm a 57 year old that has been mainstream in the collision industry and restoration industry for 35 plus years,I'm a combination man-painter, body guy, frame repair, Chevy Master Tech, ASE Master tech, ICAR, and on. The work is excellent in my opinion. It is a manual transmission car shell with the clutch and brake pedals still in the car. New floor pans have been installed, firewall has been smoothed, the whole shell was acid dipped by Strip-Rite and refinished correctly to primer state, except the underside is chassis black with GM chassis paint, as is the frame. With the exception of the GM chassis paint, all primers and paint have been PPG materials. The little rust this shell had, has been repaired nicely, the fenders are rust free to the best of my knowledge and look very nice, the doors are the same with the insides of the door beautiful/no rust. The core support is rust free and straight, as well as nicely painted black. The bed has not been rusted, pock marked, etc. It already has a cutout for a Summit fuel cell. Nicely fit in tubs too. The frame has been blasted and painted chassis black. It has stock front control arms that have been painted, with new ball joints and bushings. The stock sway bar is painted and has new bushings and links installed. New stock front steering and suspension parts, shocks, springs. The front hubs/spindles/drums/rims/lug nuts/tires are not restored and considered rollers only!!! The frame has been modified for a(NOT INCLUDED) Ford 9" rear end with ladder bar suspension and coil over springs/shocks. The frame rails are factory and in their factory position. The factory spring perches and shock mounts between the rear frame rails have been removed(very nicely too). These same mounts are in a frame section included from another 65 El Camino frame, see pics. The coil over bar and ladder bar mounts have also been removed from the frame and are NOT INCLUDED. All of the frame pieces needed to return it to street stock are included in the repair section if you choose that path. However, it's perfectly open for any rear suspension you choose. The rear end in there now is just a stock roller that has the two front lower trailing arms bolted to the frame and the coils resting on the underside of the bed. The Alston mini tubs have been very nicely installed and finished off. The new quarter panels are welded on with the body work in a roughed in state at 36 grit and primed to preserve until the work is finished off. Some work to go but these quarters will finish very nicely. The tailgate has been finished to guide coat stage. The emblem holes have been welded up to clean up its looks and the body work looks good. Parts include : rear frame repair section, gas tank, two sets of rear tailight bezels and lenses though not two complete lens sets, chrome steel rear bumper and brackets, fiberglass rear bumper with frame brackets already blasted and painted black, two sets of rear chrome bed rails and rear window chrome. Two sets of side and rear glass, and one windshield. Windshield should be replaced but is included. Two sets of window regulators and door guts. A bench seat from something in the 70s from the looks of it, nice seat, just needs recovered. Two wiring harnesses. One set of dash gauges, two steering columns. Also included are new steering column parts, turn signal switch, turn signal lever and heater control knobs. New ignition switch and door locks with glove box lock with new keys, New Energy Suspension urethane bushing kit. LOOK AT THE PICS!!! Headliner bows are included as well as the heater boxes, glove box door, heater controls, kick panels, emergency brake control, transmission crossmember, hood hinges, extra vent windows, battery tray and hold down, two sets of sun visors, gas pedal and linkages, new fiberglass front bumper and a chrome steel front bumper with brackets. Both chrome bumpers need replated but are great cores. Nice front steel inner fenders already in the primed stage. Nice, new, fiberglass VFN cowl induction hood, I also have a steel hood that you see in the pics-I will include, but really it's not worth including, it was a hood picked up along the way that did not belong to this car. Overall this is a really sweet start to however you want to finish it. No reserve and well worth the starting price. Ask questions, request more pics etc. Deposit of $500.00 dollars required within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment must be made within 14 days of auction close. All payments must clear MY banking system before vehicle will be released for transport.
