Up for sale is a 2000 VW jetta TDI Turbo diesel jetta 1.9L TDI-in great shape, runs and drives good-hard to find ALH code engine with 5-speed-Timing belt and components done at 193000-drilled and slotted brake rotors and ceramic brake pads-Evolution Imports skidplate-new struts all the way around done at 175000-alignment done same time with struts -only 3000 mile on tires-currently 196000 miles, I still drive it so mileage will go up slightly-been a solid little car for me, very mechanically sound-6 disc CD player-consistently gets 47mpg, on long trips I have hit 50 mpg, can probably do better if you hypermile it.-Never been in an accident-Body is super straight, no rust-All maintenance had been done-Well maintained, all oil changes have been done on time with VW 505.00 oil and OEM supplier filter. This car is 15 years old and has 196000 miles on it. It has a cosmetic issues that you would expect of a car that age (armrest is broken-clear, coat peeling on grill). There are only two things you could consider issues... the check engine light is on, throws EGR code. Very common for this car, does not effect mpg or drivability. And the Air Conditioning recently stopped working, I have not had time to diagnose it. I had no intentions of selling this car, but circumstances have changed. My wife starts a new job soon and we are going to start carpooling, unfortunately for me she cant drive a stick shift, so the replacement car has to be automatic. This would make a great candidate for a greasecar, biodiesel, veg oil, WVO, SVO, type conversion. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
