Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1976 Porsche 911S Targa in pretty much all original, unmodified condition. This is a 3 owner car that the last owner purchased in 1986. There is no rust whatsoever and does not appear to have had any accident damage and runs straight down the road. The last major service was at a Porsche dealer in 1990 at 145,990 miles. Many subsequent services included a major engine rebuild, suspension rebuild, new style timing chain tensioners and a new clutch with flywheel. The car was repainted the original color black some 20+ years ago and has held up well, but it is nice driver quality with some flaws as pictured. The hood flew up and bent the corners (repairable) and scared the past owner half to death and he took the car off the road. The car starts easily, runs strong without any strange noises and the transmission shifts perfectly and also without any strange noise. Brakes are spot on and do not pull to the side under hard braking. I personally had the car up to 90MPH and it ran smooth. The car has A/C but needs charged with R15 or converted to R134. Past owner said it worked when he put it away 5 years ago in a heated garage. This car has electric windows and mirrors. This is an opportunity to buy a rapidly appreciating classic Porsche 911 and the much sought after "S" version. World Wide shipping easily arranged at the end of the auction. Seller reserves the right to cancel any and all bids from those with negative feedback, or for those whose end user information cannot be verified, or those that have shown that they do not follow through with their bids. Also, for those that would like to view the car before bidding, feel free to email me with your contact information, and I will be more than happy to show it to you in person, or if you like, you can send an independent mechanic to inspect it before the end of the auction. Bid victoriously on this rare find. You certainly will not see another for quite some time!CheersTom ZOn Aug-07-15 at 09:44:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you all for bidding on this Porsche 911S Targa; There are several repetitive questions I would like to answer now; What is your reserve and do you have a buy it now price? Well my reserve has been met and I do not have a buy it now price since it will sell to the highest bidder. I will not sell outside of Ebay. Can you ship to Europe? Yes we have shipped cars all over the world and can assist you in shipping or handle it all here for you. We have trusted transporters that have been issue free for at least the last 15 years so this is not a worry. Is black the original color? Yes I believe it is and the paint code is 700-9-2 Black. What does the car need? This car needs nothing and is a great driver as-is and car be driven home without worry. Are there any service records? Well the photo shows them but yes there is a file about 1/2" thick with records going back into the early 1980's. Once again thank you for bidding and hope you enjoy your new adventure with this beautiful Porsche 911S Targa!CheersTom Z.catzauto dot com
