Vehicle Detail

Take a look at the perfect car for any enthusiast to add his or her personal touch to or for the perfectionist to take to the next level of restoration. This is a near original car in excellent condition, which is a great starting point as is or ready for some rest-mods. It has been maintained as a daily driver for nearly two years. One major item to note, and please don’t let it deter you from reading on: Car was involved in fender-bender. Rather than consult real experts regarding actual value of the car, the insurance company, of course, wrote it off. There was no apron damage, no front clip damage, and no frame damage. All that was replaced/repaired was a fender and hood, both fixed with OEM parts. Car is super straight, doors shut well, and it looks fantastic. We are more than happy to share pictures of the damage and answer any questions. Car was then repainted and a partial restoration completed with all new body seals, engine powdercoat, rewiring, bumpers rechromed (they were not on the car the day of the accident), new glove box, new headlights, painted wheels, new running boards, new windshield wiper motor, a pair of new tires, new ball joints and bearings, and new front/rear Transmission mounts. Valve, carb, and timing adjustments along with oil changes. We ONLY use Brad Penn Oil for this car, which has the correct levels of ZDDP required for flat tappet engines. Carb has electronic ignition, which means no points to adjust! Main seal was replaced last summer and engine runs strong. Car had dealer installed AC, of which we still have fan/blower, condenser, and AC pulley. All plumbing seems to be intact. The new accelerator cable connects to the rebuilt pedal cluster to the rebuilt Bocar 34Pict Carb with new idle cut off and choke. When you want to stop, brakes have always been well adjusted and stops well for a car with drums. Shifting is nice and solid because of the new transmission mounts front and back. The transmission shifts smoothly between all gears and doesn’t whine. The seats have been re-covered using horse hair style seat padding from Wolfsburg West, which we all know is the best! New carpet was professionally installed by an awesome local upholsterer… he also did the best he could with the headliner that came with car that came with it. A brand new genuine Bosch Alternator was installed. All electrical works flawlessly, and well too! The radio is original and works well for its age. When your road rage takes over, the horn is new and LOUD. It’s a great cruiser for shows too. It’s got that original ride quality and handling which is fun and comfortable. A runner like this, and in such solid condition is going to be hard to come by soon (just look at how Bay Window prices have changed the last few years). If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact. Cash or Cashier's Check. Local Pick up, unless buyer pays shipping.
