I bought this jetta in March 2012 when it had 223xxx miles on it. Have driven it since then with no issues at all. car looks good for its age and drives well. The Good- Engine is solid with good acceleration- Tires have good tread.- Cold AC- No rust- Timing belt and serpentine belt in good condition- New JNA alternator pulley and refurbished alternator- new fuel filter- avg mpg 44. Best I ever got was 58 mpg on highway.- alloy wheels- Manual transmission- interior is clean.- Manual windows- No leaks The Bad- Airbag light on because cloth seats were replaced with leather ones by previous owner. seat connector did not match.- Clutch needs to be replaced soon. Car is drive-able. If you are easy on the clutch, you could drive it anywhere.- Some clear coat peeling.- one ding on rear passenger fender. some scratches. paint overall is shiny.- rear leather seat has 3 tears. can be fixed. Other misc stuff- replaced all glow plugs in March 2012. but for some reason the glow plug light keeps blinking. car starts on first try even in winter.- have key fob but needs to be programmed by dealer.- center armrest was removed but I have a replacement. needs to be installed.- i removed rain guards from windows, tape adhesive needs to be removed. Hate to sell it but I don't have the time or the space to keep it. It still has years of life left or you could part it out.
