I’m selling my 1988 Lincoln Town Car SIGNATURE SERIES, with just 86,491 original miles on it! From fifteen feet away this car is absolutely striking, with the wire wheels, the white wall tires, and the bright white paint offset by the newly-dyed blue top. Great opportunity to own a classic beauty – it’s lovely as-is, and with a little TLC (perhaps re-dying the leather seats, replacing the dash cap (couple of sun cracks), etc.) this car would be completely stunning. The bullet-proof electronic fuel-injected 5.0 liter 302 c.i.d. V8 engine runs smoothly, and even at 70 MPH the car just floats down the highway. It shifts and brakes well. The car does seem to be idling a bit fast – not a big deal, I just want to describe it as accurately as possible. J There are no check engine lights / service lights / warning lights on at all. It also comes with the original factory owner’s manual and books (see pics). The exhaust, brakes, and glass are all good, and the nice white-wall tires are relatively new. Also includes full-size spare tire. The A/C blows ice cold! The power windows and seats work; however both rear power windows operate slowly and seem a bit loose on the tracks. The front power windows – including cool power vent windows – work great! Power locks work too, although the passenger front door power lock sticks at times (it can always be opened easily with a key). The touch pad keyless lock/unlock mechanism on the driver’s door still works – very cool! The previous owner got a cassette tape stuck in the tape player, and consequently the radio and cassette player do not work; however I’m including an identical replacement factory AM/FM cassette player with this car so you can switch it out if you’d like. As you can see in the pictures, this Lincoln is one nice-looking car! No rust. The car has the very desirable factory wire WHEELS (not hub caps). The wire wheels are showing signs of age and wear, but are still presentable as is. The wheel center caps do not fasten tightly like they should, and I remove them when driving the car for fear of losing them. The complete set does come with the car however. Paint is sun-bleached down to the primer in places on the trunk and rear quarter panel (driver’s side) due to sun exposure. The paint has been touched up in a few places on the trunk and on the white part of the roof. The vinyl top is newly re-dyed (nice job!) and is striking! The vinyl top does have some numerous cracks from heat and age (see pics). There is a minor crease/small dent on the driver’s door (see pic). The passenger side of the car looks absolutely MINT. The interior of this car is gorgeous! All the digital instrumentation on the dash works great! The headliner is perfect, not sagging at all. All the door panels are in perfect condition with the exception of the driver’s side armrest (minor splits - see pics). The carpet looks great! On the front and rear seats the leather is worn but there are no rips, tears or splits. The top of the dashboard has a couple of cracks from the sun (see pics). This 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series will make a great head-turning classic that could be driven every day.
