Recently owned by a single gentleman who died recently, this vehicle is being sold by his estate. He purchased it from the original owner (but through a dealer) in 2002 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This model is prone to rust, but the undercarriage was Ziebarted by the original owner, and there is almost no sign of rust (two small spots, only). The recent owner replaced the dash and console with a new, Datsun-manufactured parts. He had the upholstery and carpeting completely restored, and provided very thoroughly applied and authentically-colored new exterior paint. This car is one of the last "real" sports cars, in that it has a manual transmission and no power steering. It is equipped with fuel-injection. Since restoration, he also replaced one of the roof struts, the right rear view mirror, the alternator, fuel injector, and one of the hub caps. The a/c unit was recharged shortly after purchase in 2002. Everything is documented in complete detail. As this suggests, he took immaculate care of the vehicle, and the next owner will enjoy the car for many years. Accompanying the car is original documentation and receipts for all work performed by the seller,Included in documentation is an odometer disclosure statement setting the milage at time of purchase at 49,214 in 2002. It is now at 64,889..Air conditioning works well.The engine is in excellent shape, it drives well (as a Z should), and regular checkups and repairs are all documented.Slight difference in color between rear seats.The floor mats are original type, but not made by Datsun/Nissan.Small crack under passenger side headlamp.A small scrape on passenger side rear wheel well.Two small rust spots on undercarriage.The left door speaker does not work. On Jul-25-15 at 12:41:52 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to bidder questions, and upon further examination:The clock does not work, sorry, was told by the previous owner that it did.There is now a photo posted of stains on the driver's side rear bumper.There are no scratches or blemishes to passenger side rear window, photo posted.There is now a photo of the engine compartment.The previous owner, from his hospital bed, reported a crack under passenger side headlamp. I mis-remembered it being a crack above the headlamp, so have posted two pictures to show that there is not. Will investigate on Sunday (tomorrow) and try to get a photo. Have not found anything yet, either way.There are now three photos of the driver's side exterior.In the previous description it says "slight difference in color between rear seats". That should read "slight difference in color between seat backs." The passenger side is slightly lighter than the driver's. Your questions are welcome! On Jul-26-15 at 16:26:05 PDT, seller added the following information: The crack under the driver's side headlight has been located and photographed, but eBay won't let me delete a photo from the collection to make room for it, and won't upload it unless I do.
