Vehicle Detail

1968 BMW R60/2 with Earles Fork and rare Toaster Tank. I've owned this bike for almost 40 years, although I can't locate the title and the DMW in Colorado (where last registered, doesn't keep records so far back). I can give you a bill of sale. I kept this bike either in the garage or under a carport at all times. Still accrued some rust however (see pics) - but not too bad at all. It ran when I last parked it 20 years ago. It only needed carburetor adjustment to run really well - but we chose to have kids instead and I never rode the bike again. Rebuilt upper end 5,000 miles ago and new rebuilt transmission about the same time. I'll throw in the old tranny with the purchase. I've never seen this type of toaster tank BMW before - quite rare I'm told - see pic. I'll deliver this bike to you for free, plus the cost of a small Uhaul trailer rental - as long as you live within 20 miles of the I15 or I80 corridor between Bend, Oregon and Grand Junction Colorado. I'll have to charge .75 per mile beyond that distance (one-way). I leave this Tuesday for the trip, so if you bid, please be ready to purchase! On Jul-19-15 at 18:53:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Although a "toaster tank" in typically on a /5, this /2 came with unique and customized chrome side panel inserts on the tank (with emblem). See pictures. I've owned this bike since about 1978 and was told by the original owner that it came new this way. I don't know the history beyond that. The bike is 99.5% complete original and with matching numbers. I also have an extra transmission I will include. Everything seen in the pictures is what you get. Happy bidding! On Jul-19-15 at 19:06:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Details about shipping. I am offering to either have you pick it up where it is now - Bend, Oregon, or I will haul it too you as explained in the main description. I will be driving from Bend, Oregon to Grand Junction, Colorado on Wednesday, July 22, via the suggested shortest route provided by Google Mapping software. I will haul the bike to you for free (plus uhaul trailer rental cost) as long as you are within 20 mile of the Google-preferred route. Anything beyond 20 miles will require extra payment as explained in the main description (.75 per mile one-way). So if you are 100 miles off my Google-preferred route, then you would owe me for 80 miles x .75 (plus trailer rental). Please ask questions before bidding if you want further clarification. If you want to pick up the bike in Bend, either pick up the bike by noon on July 22, or I will return from Colorado on August 3rd, and the bike will then be available for pickup. Thank you. Phil, owner
