Vehicle Detail

This was our camping truck bought in 2010. The previous owner was an mechanical engineer who had a two bay garage with a lift that did side automotive work. He used the truck to pick up parts. It was purchased by him from a man in one of the Carolina states who was a mechanic and got a the title as a salvage/rebuild. The truck when purchased by me was used for one year in Slippery Rock, PA then it spent the remainder of time in Lubbock, Texas and Sherman, Texas. It is parked and covered in a driveway. Every Sunday I start it up, drive it up and down the road. This was a camping truck my wife and I used. It was not beaten nor abused, adult driven and taken on small to long road trips. I adjust the valves every 10,000 miles and sometimes even less if time permits. The Weber Carb is in working order and all the smog/emission components have been removed. 24-30 MPG City/Hgwy. I run 89 gasoline most of the time. Oil changes every 3,000 miles. She does use some oil if taken over 75mph but when we use her its for leisure and never over 65mph. A small oil leak occasionally shows up on extremely hot days but in between oil changes it is never more than a 1/2 qt. low. I put a new O2 sensor in about 25k ago but never wanted to tear apart the dash to hit the switch. These trucks usually kick an O2 sensor every 90k. Brakes were replaced both front and back at about 194,500 miles. Tires in the front show signs of wear, will measure the 32/ when I get a chance. The rear tires are better. An alignment was preformed when brakes were replaced. A radiator and thermostat was installed @194,500 miles. Tires rotated at 194,500. Valve cover replaced at 190k. At the 194,500k mark all belts were changed including the timing belt, figured might as well if changing the radiator. Before every long trip we take she gets an overhaul and inspection. THere is no power steering but the A/C works and blows cold. I have the Isuzu front emblem to be attached to the front Grill. COSMETICALLY: BELOW AVERAGE-The Truck was poorly repainted. Sanding marks, mediocre patch work, with no clear coat shine. Paint luster is achieved best by using a Back to Black or UV Outdoor Repellent like ArmorAll. It has been recently waxed and polished but does not bring out luster like the above mentioned product. The Front Quarter panels have some bubbling, particularly the passenger side. There has been repair work made there. Hood is in poor condition but operates as it should. Tailgate operates as it should and has some dents, dirt in threshold is due to oil coating/protection. Truck bed had holes patched via rivets. Bed line has been custom fit to the bed. Cap side window operate, screens have minor patchwork. Cap is able to be locked and unlocked. Truck comes with two sets of keys for the truck itself and the cap. Frame has been oiled/greased undercoated annually in the past and is now Fuid Filmed. It shows sign of age but no Frame Damage detected. Interior carpet has coffee stains and oil stain in the back. Please read about the flaws, I was as accurate as possible. One thing I forgot to mention is the rear bumper is has a rust hole. If I were able to keep the truck I would replace the bumper, hood, and passenger side fender if a junkyard had the parts but that is not completely necessary. Lastly, I hooked the tail lights up to a toggle switch below so when the headlight button is actuated just the front headlights work, turn signals, and markers. Until you hit the toggle switch do the rear parking lights turn on or night time lights. Brake lights and turn signal work all the time. I did that as courteous when passing someone to say thank-you by blinking the taillights. The truck is 31 years old. I would drive it across the country if time permitted. Unfortunately my wife and I are moving to upstate New York and are unable to have the driveway space for a third vehicle and trailer. The truck goes. We call her Shirl and we shall miss her dearly. I hope the winning bidder appreciates her as much as we did.On Jul-21-15 at 05:33:02 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: Taxes, title transfer, plate transfer and all other expenses relating to transferring ownership is buyer's responsibility. The rims of the truck are stainless steel and in fair condition. The 02 sensor light I am unsure will effect the vehicles ability to Pass your state inspection. It was replaced with Bosch O2 sensor and it is good, just the light behind the dash is difficult to access so I opted to leave it. The vehicle now in the state of PA qualifies for a Classic Plate. That exempts it from emission testing. The owner also does not have to renew the registration annually as a result. Check your state to see if that exists. I am selling the vehicle: AS IS. No warranty. Any further questions may be asked and I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion. The valve cover gasket was recently replaced and sealed nicely following most recent valve lash adjustment. Also at that time, new NGK sparks were installed as well as wires. The camper cargo top has been bolted to the cap. It can be removed if necessary.
